Taiwan have it’s own and first F4, then when HYD comeout it’s also a big drama in Taiwan. I stop in 3rd episode becuase GHY and poor written script. I mean how come the magic getting trap on the escalator become cheesy??

Cuz dem Taiwanese folk have been there done that with BOF. Well, their version was crappy but BOF didn’t interest me to even watch an episode.

Taiwan has had their craze with their own BoF (Meteor Garden).  It’s been at least 7-8 years.  And the Taiwanese version (the first one, I might add) was much better.  I actually watched that shit, and I don’t ever watch dramas.

GHS is a lovely girl, what the hell are you smoking? Yes, I agree that having the entire F4 would perhaps boost ratings, but there was clearly no need demean the protagonist like that. It’s a pity that BOF isn’t doing that well over in Taiwan, but it’s understandable to an extent, seeing how this whole series has been around for quite some time.

Taiwan already had their own version of F4 and they may not be interrested in watching another adaptation. Moreover Meteor Garden was far better than BOF.

Sucks, because the Korean version is waaaaaay better then the Taiwanese version. But whatever floats their boat. x.x

i guess it’s cuz the Meteor Garden craze and their famous f4 which became a famous band already stole the hearts of many a long time ago
but the kversion is really good, itd be great if the rest of f4 were there to promote it, but im sure they’re busy doing other activities too.

Truthfully, Lee Min Ho looked better than Jerry Yan, Hyun Joong, way better than Vic Zhou, Kim Bum and Kim Joon way way waaaaay better than Vaness and Ken! Seriously, they should like this better. I like Hye Sun better than Barbie too!

This cast too is waaaay better than any of the Hana Yori Dango cast. Korea has like the best F4! Not just the best, the hottest too!

the korean verson was the worst i didnt even bother myself to watch the ending it was so boring the Japanese and Taiwanese was way better than korean version especially the Japanese also we must not forget that taiwane had their own version

kind of expected, i thought~~~ taiwan has lots of idol dramas, and i’m not surprised ratings are not very high because the internet already has the drama~~~ besides, even though the cast are great, they aren’t exactly Hallyu stars~~~

Regarding the low rating in Taiwan. It is because there are more than 100 channels in Taiwan. It’s hard to have high rating such as ten-some even twenty-some. Maybe you guys could check their fan meeting news yesterday. The fan meeting yesterday is during weekday; however, Min Ho and Hye Sun are so popular that there is still lots of fans went to the event.

@24. senseofspark you may think they’re hot, but the drama itself sucked. The only one who looked decent was Leeminho- and he’s plastic. Hyun joon looked and acted plastic. his nostrils were distracting. Not saying the Taiwan version was the best or anything (because I prefer the Japaese one) but the Korean version’s popularity cannot compare to the reception the Taiwanese version got around the whole of Asia when it was release. But I guess you were still sucking your thumb back then to know that.  Without the Taiwanese version, the Japanese and Korean version may have never happened and never generated so much inital intrest. Idol dramas in Taiwan are lucky to even hit the10% mark. Guess that kinda tells you what the population is like. Not filled with tweeny boopers and actually have intelligent enough people who probably watch other things with more substance apart from idol dramas.

allkpop never listen. that rating of over 1% is considered good..please do not compare the % in taiwan & korea.  each country rating system is different.  please do some research before writing such an article. it shows how shallow you are.  or you are just trying to put downnnnnnnnnnnnnn BOF and the casts until they are ‘dead’?

As a Taiwanese, I started watching it online when it first came out in Korea. So anyone in Taiwan who really wanted to watch it would have watched it online first. Now that it’s airing, I doubt they would have wanted to watch it a second time. It kinda sucked sorry. I couldn’t watch past the 6th episode. And no, I’m not Taiwan version bias. But I am Jerry Yan and Vic Zhou bias. Out of the Korean F4 the only one who looked good to me was Lee Minho, cause he looks a little like Jerry. Hyun joong is very unattractive in my eyes, if he’d acted well then I would have cut him some slack like I did with Oguri Shun but HJ just plain sucked. Kim Bum is not attractive either. And while his acting was good in East of Eden. I don’t get how his acting was anything spectacular here. (unless you’re comparing him to Hyun Joong) I have nothing to say about the last f4 since he was rather invisible and didn’t stand out much.

I completely agree with #38 lolli…I’m taiwanese as well, and anyone with brains could figure out that we simply had just all watched it on the internet already and probably downloaded all the episodes to be bothered to go tune into it on TV
Not to mention there are about a hundred (literally!) other interesting programs for us to watch than to just rewatch something we’ve all watched already
Although if low ratings mean they’re going to be bringing minho and hye sun to taiwan, keep them low!!! hahaha joking, of course i’d love for it to have high ratings in taiwan already

to people who are saying that KBOF sucked, I think it didn’t. It wasn’t too corny and it included the other lives of the F4 members. I watched the taiwanese version and I actually liked it, but I won’t say that it was better than the Kbof. I think both have different strengths that it would be difficult to comapre.
