Like I said before, we haven't heard about BoA in a while, but she more than made up for that with an awesome performance of "I Did it for Love" on today's MTV Japan Video Music Awards.
She was joined on stage with producer Sean Garrett, and I think she did awesome. Check it out below:

Thats the only song I really liked. XD Aside from “Eat You Up”. I love the beat and her perfomance was good!
I usually like boa but this performance was below par. Her hair looked amazing-tough and sexy at the same time but her outfit left a lot to be desired…Pretty Woman boots with grandma’s sofa pattern dress?!!?!!! Yikes.
The performance was pretty good. BoA rocked the stage. Sean kinda did too if he didn’t jump around too much.
sean gerrett looked soo dumb in here wussup with his voice and he all hoppin around wth?! made the performance look bad.. but boa was okay her voice just need to imporove a lil more thats all
Perhaps this wasn’t the best song choice to splurge on.
It’s evident in the studio and live that IDIFL is out of her vocal range.
She performed better when she was 21, 20, 19, maybe even 18 with different songs.
Girls On Top lives were amazing. They were rare, yes (LOL), but amazing when sung and performed live.
Even EIEN was sung better than IDIFL with more dancing, less backtrack, and jetlag. =\ The only difference is that EIEN is higher vocally, and IDIFL basically sits around the low notes (her enemy) with little variation (seriously, the whole song is like 5 notes).
that sean garrett guy is so gay, he’s acting like its his performance. None of them are cheering for him, they don’t even know who he is.

i was kinda surprised with the outfit choice since she didn’t seem to be wearing much skirts for her American debut lol
overall, it was a really fun performance but either the mic was too low or her voice was dying out on stage >.<;; lol

some of you guys need to chill on sean garrett. have some of you even heard him sing before? he has an amazing voice. Face it, Boa should just throw in the towel and focus on asia again. The US is just too closed minded when it comes to asians.
her vocals werent as powerful as her other performances so i was disappointed but her dancing and outfit are awesome!

In their previous performances, BoA looked so tired, but she looks happy in this one.

If she’s after the US market, it’s best to stay in the US where her target market is, and not go do a performance that she already conquered (and loosing a grip at nowadays). And I agree with the person who said tha America is too close minded for an Asian artist, even one that boasts 20 million sold. I mean, Utada is boasting 52, and her single is still going nowhere in the main Billboard chart.
Oh, and BoA needs to tell the backstage people to give her a better mic.

Boa is a great performer, but some of her songs tends to be a hit a miss for me b/c her voice doesn’t stand out. she can def. sing but her voice only sounds great with certain songs. In this performance loved everything but her singing b/c I could see that it is difficult for her to pronounce the words & she also still has a heavy accent. Wish boa will comeback to korea. miss hearing her sing in korean.

Wah… I agree with you. I think they did a wonderful job. I admit that at some parts it would’ve been nice if she sang it out instead of the speaker-voice but still the overall performance was great. ^_^
