Man, I know TOP is supposed to be the eye candy of the group, but still, his performance was pretty terrible.

Of course, I’d excuse his terrible singing since he’s not a singer, but even his rapping, it just sounded like scratchy screaming… Hopefully he’ll be able to revamp his act for the next chance.

As much as I’d like them to be Number 1 in the Oricon Charts… it’s not gonna be possible anytime soon. They’d most likely finish 3rd this week, not bad for their fourth effort in J-music. Gara Gara Go won’t stand a chance against Ayumi Hamasaki and another big j-star w/c I forgot who are both releasing on the same day (July 8). I can only hope for the best. But at least Universal and YG’s not scared to put them off against Ayumi in their 5th effort.

There’s a difference between getting #1 on daily rank and weekly rank. Their sales are so low compared to the #1 (4000 vs 12,000!!!). Even Suju got #1 on daily rank WITHOUT promotions.

Not very impressive. I agree w/ #18 about TOP’s rapping, it was really difficult to listen to and sounded really bad. G-Dragon did good, and I think TaeYang and SeungRi did the best here. I dunno, but around the 1:50 mark when TOP and GD started screaming stuff while the other two sang, that was when they ruined it for me. That part was all over the place, I couldn’t focus on the song. Which is sad, because compared to all their other Japanese material, “My Heaven” sounds really nice.

Ah, they sounded muddled in their performance—-> too many voices at the same time in the beginning and at the end. But nevertheless, go Big Bang! Love them!

don’t know if Gara Gara Go will receive as much promotion as My Heaven or not but Koda Kumi’s releasing her 3 SPLASH on the same date so there’s no way they can reach no.1. There’re other big names but their sales are unpredictable.

@39: The thing is they were 4th on their first day, then 3rd for the rest, and 2nd now, so they’ve managed to stay up there for the entire week, which means they will be 3rd in the weekly as well, which is more than what Super Junior managed (which is actually 13th in the daily charts for one day). They also sold quite a lot more than you think. If you sum up all the sales they’d be around the 25,000 mark which is much more than a rookie usually gets. Rookies usually only produce 10,000~20,000 albums for their debut without any re-issues, but Big Bang have managed to sell more than a usual rookie’s lifetime in just less than a week, which is why Universal Music Japan decided to produce 100,000 albums, 5 times more than the usual rookie.
