Shinhwa’s Andy was Originally an H.O.T. member
Ten years later, the truth that Andy Lee, a member of the group Shinhwa, was originally supposed to be an H.O.T. member was exposed.
This 10-year secret was revealed on March 22nd on KBS2TV "Happy Together - Memory Challenge Song," where ex-H.O.T. member Moon Hee Jun spoke of the birth and the never revealed behind-the-scenes stories of H.O.T.
H.O.T. originally started off with 10 members with an elimination process, until the members Moon Hee Jun, Kang Ta, Jang Woo Hyuk, Tony An, Lee Jae Won, AND Andy Lee remained.
However, because Tony An and Andy had similar images, one of them had to be booted.
But, the twist doesn't end there. The people in charge of forming the boy band favored Andy for his young age and spunk, but pitied Tony An because at the time, he was going through some rough times in his life. So, ultimately as we all know, Tony An was chosen.
The episode of "Happy Together" will air on March 27 at 11:05 pm.
