And the Two Finalists of SuperStar K are?
Superstar K, the American Idol show of Korea, has been garnering much attention due to its very talented contestants.
So far, the competition has been fierce, and now, we are only left with two finalists, Suh In Gook and Jo Moon Geun. Unfortunately Gil Hak Mi, the last female contestant remaining did not get through the semi-final round. The prize for the final winner is 100,000 US dollars or 1억 and a chance to appear on the MKMF stage alongside Korea's biggest superstars. Who will be the last one standing?
Here is a brief overview of the two finalists:
Jo Moon Geun - This conga-playing artist has been the viewers' favorite ever since he first auditioned with his guitarist bandmate under their band name, "Lost Cat/Stray Cat". Although the bandmate was eventually cut from a later audition, Jo Moon Geun held on steady in the race. They immediately caught the judges' attention by their unique rendition of Wonder Girls' "Nobody". He is known for his unique tone and the happy-virus when he is on stage. He is just another example demonstrating that looks are not everything. Listening to him just makes me smile!
Suh In Gook - This young 23-year old came into the competition as the underdog. He constantly got criticism from the judges, but was quick to learn and showcase his improvements. Each week, his performances just got better and better! Most of his fans are females because we girls just helplessly fall for a boy's shy smiling face, don't we? This smile-boy sure is a tough competition for Jo Moon Geun.
Those were the two finalists, but Gil Hak Mi is just too talented to ignore, so here is a brief overview of the female superstar.
Gil Hak Mi - When Hyori (judge) first saw Hak Mi's audition, she said that she reminded her of 2NE1's CL. Actually, her boyish look, and impressive rapping and singing do resemble the leadah of 2NE1. She is one of the many contestants who will walk away from this contest without the prize, but with many supporting fans. I know I can't wait for this girl to debut!
