2PM Auction

Because of the overwhelming response from bidders, 2PM's auction has been temporarily closed.

Through an online shopping mall (www.lotte.com), 2PM's stage outfits went up for a charity auction. This auction started on the 23rd but has now been temporarily closed, due to the immense bids the outfits were receiving.

On the 26th, Newsen had a phone conversation with an official who stated, "The auction bids are beyond one's imagination. Therefore, due to the overwhelming response the auction has been closed. It will be re-opened as soon as the bidding atmosphere calms down."

The reason for closing the auction was due to the insane figures. More specifically, because of Jaebeom's outfit, which was nearing $2 MILLION USD. Certain individuals were creating faulty accounts to intentionally raise the auction values of the outfit.

Another official for the Lotte website stated, "This was all for a good cause for the needy animals, but because of a few netizens who went overboard, I feel sorry for the victims. In the future, we will make sure that this will not happen again when the items go back up for auction."

I understand how fans are feeling, but such acts as these are absolutely unacceptable, especially when it's for a great cause to help out needy animals - It's rather shameful and unfortunate.

Yah, I thought it was quite suspicious. They should’ve had the bidders account linked to a bank account or something to avoid this.

The people who caused this mess should be ashamed of themselves. They have nothing better to do than screw around with something that was put up for a good cause. D:<

Leonis's avatar

I knew it, they just kept on bidding even though they can’t pay for it. I don’t know what they’re trying to prove but they should be ashamed of themselves.

HOTTESTS are really losing their minds.
they do more damage then good, dont think about the animals and dont think about 2pm. All they care about is Jay.

Coloroid's avatar

....lame. See look at what they’ve done now D:

dramababy2010's avatar

WELL….that’s what they shld kinda have expected when they put 2PM’s stuff out just after Jay left….fans were bound to do sth to make it pretty crazyy://

pretıque's avatar

@ 25 same, i was like uh wtf, they closed it?!

I think some fangirls are going overboard.. this is to help the needy animals! not to raise the price by like 1000000000000000000000 dollars.

bigbangandaal's avatar

‘It seems obsessed fan girls were creating faulty accounts to intentionally raise the auction values of the outfit.’<—-NOT COOL….
as much as i love jaebeom but creatin faulty acc isnt cool..
idk..whatever it is, just make sure that this auction is able to save many many animals….
2PM FIGHTING <3

steele's avatar

Aha, look at Boram’s auction.

One Jay's avatar

once again, it was NOT crazy fangirls/hottests
more specifically, it was TWO ANTIS FROM DCINSIDE.COM (THE COMEDY GALLERY)
who decided to continue raising the bids JUST FOR FUN,
and to piss off the fans who actually joined together
in order to raise money for charity and also to win Jay’s outfit so that
they can return it to him when he comes back.

This auction does not carry a monetary penalty for pulling out at the end
that’s why there was nothing stopping these two antis.
Hopefully, when Lotte continues this auction,
they will make new rules regarding a penalty for failing to pay the amount they bid

chandana's avatar

who ever did that are giving bad names to the rest of the hottests who dont do weird things like this

Lolleh ^^'s avatar

what? this is so out of control =__= bring Jay back or else it’s gonna be a chaos!

Sand11's avatar

LAWL Auction failed.

joe.oppa's avatar

lol fangirls fail

Snapdragon's avatar

By doing this, those fangirls not only made us Hottests look bad, but they brought up the hopes of the people who were involved with the charity.
It was completely wrong to do, and I hope there are repercussions to those that made the faulty accounts.
There was NO excuse to do such a thing, even if it was for Jay.

bequietimhappy's avatar

Well, that’s stupid.
Why did Lotte even consider auctioning 2PM’s—or, in particular, Jaebeom’s—clothes in the first place?
The whole issue with Jaebeom leaving 2PM is still a hot issue in Korea so of course fans will react to anything and everything that is involved with Leadja.
Although netizens are at fault too, Lotte shouldn’t have been so ignorant as to auction 2PM’s clothes so soon.
The timing is not right—at least, not yet.

barca_manunited's avatar

LOL. omg man. so that’s why the bids got this high. i suspected something sketch was going on. ... i knew there was more to it than just “two chaebol daughters duking it out”. wow…

popcrunch's avatar

@38: True o.x

This sucks.

Tiffasaurus-x's avatar

Agree w/ 38.

bigbangandaal's avatar

@33..wow…..i am so shocked…thx for tellin us : D

no avatar

Netizen’s have no shame. No conscience. No life. sad.

winterhornedowl's avatar

Before we start pointing fingers, how would we know that HOTTEST bid it that high?
It might have been antis for all we know. *sigh. But it’s really unfortunate to cause a havoc like this.

HelloUnicorn's avatar

lol, how ridiculous. XD

kari-o-kee's avatar

@33 - Thanks for clearing it up.

no avatar

This is based off their opinion though? They weren’t 100% sure if the auctioners couldn’t pay. It seems unlikely, but before they closed the auction, they could have investigated.
Before it is clarified that it was the FANS of 2PM or antis, we shouldn’t be assuming that it was immature fans or immature antis.

bumblebee18's avatar

pfft neitzens got him out ov the country now they’re paying 2 million for his outfit

Kvanne's avatar

i’m sure a hottest would not do this… i really doubt it was a hottest..probably someone who just wanted to mess with people who actually wanted to sincerely buy the clothes…
