after almost 2 years of hardwork in japan
and making their cd they deserve it!!!

its funny how everyone that attended won awards and the people that didnt go,didnt get any awards. Epic High,Seo Taji,Hyori,Bigbang and even Younha didnt get anything.at least MKMF was more realistic,they gave awards to the people that didnt showe up.i dont think i trust GDA’s anymore.cant wait for the Seoul Music Awards.

I have my opinion. Maybe i should’ve made it more clearer,
when it says best producer, in my opinion it counts as producing artist, producing music.
I have nothing against LSM. I just dont think he deserves it. And yes others do work their butt of, thats how they get fame, but comparing DBSK and Wonder Girls, how much more rest does DBSK have then WG?
And yes they are popular and has alot of hectic schedule, dealing Japan and Korea at the same time but DAMN LSM needs to give them a break, on the other hand, by the end of this year, WG will stop promoting, probably rest, get ready for their concert and JYP’s concert in february.

ANd now suddenly GDA is not creditable anymore cause they didn’t give an award for people who don’t attend the show.
Someone said that the winner of the bonsang already known before the awards were held but they keep the big winner as a secret. Well considered there are 10 bonsang I think it’s true, Japan end year award also do the same as GDA (the one that DBSK attend this end of year awards).
Instead of didn’t come didn’t win, how about didn’t win didn’t come??

You have got to be kidding me. Golden Disk Award is a distinguished award show that has been around for a while. Just because your favorites didn’t win, it doesn’t make the award show any less prestigious. MKMF has and always will be an award show that has more of an emphasis on PERFORMANCES so that’s why you see a lot of artist show up - simply to perform. Not to mention, MKMF has always been catered to teenagers. And to the artists that didn’t show up to the GDA, it’s because they knew that they wouldn’t win.

@MushyMorshy: have you heard anything about objectivity?? The judges doesn’t decide the winner based on who treat their artist nicer or who bring them to dinner every know and then or who gives the longest break period. They not making friends with them, they are judging them based on what they produce. As they not gonna judge the artist based on who work the harder or who put more soul into their works. It’s all about statistic and number..

The fact will be unknown since none of us know YG, JYP, or LSM personally, but the works spoke for them… LSM produce more this years, and the artist he produce are more successful in term of album achievement then the other company. That’s it…  And I hate the man…

i cant believe Brown Eyes,Seo Taji,and Epic High didnt win anything. they had more album sales then all of these artists except DBSK of course.am sorry to offend but how can they not win ANYTHING when Rain,who had way less album sales won?and he cant even sing.

jewelry for Digital Daesang? really? i would have thought Wonder Girls (So Hot? Nobody?)... well jewelry were active for the beginning of the year and they did win a lot of awards on shows for there song. haha. the beginning of the year was just so long ago. =)
GDA is kinda different from the other shows cause it isn’t categorized with the different genres and stuff. so the results are bound to be different. plus don’t they base it on album sales charts and the downloading sales charts? yeah… the winners kinda make sense if you think of the numbers?
why i think Big Bang didn’t win anything - weren’t they nominated with the Remember album? no offense but that wasn’t a very solid album as a whole. and Haru Haru? um… i liked it, but Lies is still there best song.

I think GDA only invites winners, which would explain why some artists didn’t attend.

at least MKMF gave awards to the Artist who didnt show up.

The Big Bang hate is getting old. Anyway, Congrats to DBSK. That performance of Mirotic was fucking awesome. Loved it!! I want that version soooo bad! And the SHINee boys were singing along XDD

To clear up some confusion:

The DISK Awards-covers ALBUM(Offline)sales. This must be a FULL LENGTH album not a mini album or single.

The DIGITAL Awards-covers Legal Downloads (Online) sales. This was instituted last year to recognize the individual RECORD (or song) sales of artists: (1) who released a full length album that did not really bring in the numbers but churned out a successful record or hit song,(2)who released a successful MINI ALBUM or single.

Winners for BONSANGS are usually ‘advice’ beforehand to allow them time to prepare for their stages. DAESANGS winners, on the other hand, are only announced on awards night. The Daesang awardee is then chosen from among the Bonsang winners from each category: Disk and Digital.

Nominees don’t usually attend because they’ve not receive the ‘advice’ on the Bonsang, or other personal circumstances.

The criteria is: 60% sales, 20% online votes, 20% judge. That’s 80% QUANTIFIABLE.

honestly…dbsk just sold a lot of albums, had a ton of fans, and has a big name.
none of this ‘they worked hard’ crap.

1. Everyone that was at the GDA won an award and performed except for the 3 Shinhwa members and Kim Dongryul? (I can’t find his performance.)

2. LSM won the best producer award and he was in New York so he had to record his acceptance speech. JYP won the award LAST YEAR and he was at the GDA to receive the award.

3. DBSK sold the most albums in 2008.

-EVERYONE else had to FLY back AND forth from japan to korea almost EVERY SINGLE DAY and perform the SAME day they just got off the plane.
-EVERYONE also had to have TWO completely different concerts going on.
-EVERYONE also had to get bashed by netizens because they cant be in two award shows AND country at the same time.
-EVERYONE also are expected to be GODS for their comeback.
-EVERYONE also did the said comeback when all of them were sick and antis were still bashing them for their “SICK” voices.
