er... yes. bubble sisters was undoubtedly a poor example. went back and researched them... "normal" racial ignorance (by korean standards, see: seungri, taeyeon, etc) is one thing, but those getups were researched and planned and thought out. the curlers and the pyjamas took things to a whole 'nother level in terms of offensiveness and hateful, violent symbolism. i still like their voices and their music but i see now how unforgivably cruel the blackface concept was. using them as an example of talent over personality was my bad.
It's okay. I got too passionate especially since this is over the internet and obviously shouldn't be personal but those pictures really bother me. The tae yeon and seung ri incidents were ignorant and those don't bother me (as much) and don't stop me from listening to their music.
and i meant female vocalists instead of best vocalists. I actually prefer male voices because they are a lower pitch which i like a lot. I only like a few female vocalists compared to male singers. I hope Whee Sung becomes famous in AMerica without losing his "Whee Sung"-ness
