Cha Seung-Hyo (Yoon Kye-Sang) is an abandoned child who gets adopted into a rich family in the United States. He grows up to be the president of a company, as well as a cold hearted person. Son Il-Gun (Kang Nam-Gil) is a father who died and left a lot of unfinished business with his daughter. In order to make sure that his daughter is well provided for, he controls Seung-Hyo’s body for three hours a day for 49 days. He buys his daughter the things he couldn’t buy her when he was alive with Seung-Hyo’s money. Il Gun’s daughter, Young-In (Go Ah-Ra), is a quick-tempered girl who meets Seung-Hyo during her part-time job. At first, she has a bad impression of him, but she gradually starts to fall for the lonely Seung-Hyo, who is unable to open up to anyone else because of his bitter past.
Yoon Kye-Sang as Cha Seung-Hyo
As most of us may know, Yoon Kye-Sang debuted as a member of the boy band, GOD. Well, lets just say that the reason why I mention this is because in some parts of the drama, I can’t help but question why Yoon decided to go into the acting industry. However, he does play his role as a hard ass fairly well. With his serious voice and his “don’t fu*k with me” attitude, I can’t help but be drawn to his character. Plus, if my memory stands correct, there was a shower scene in the drama that boosted Yoon Kye-Sang’s points up a couple million.
Go Ah-Ra as Son Young-In
With her beady bug eyes and her loud, obnoxious voice, Go Ah-Ra played the quick-tempered, I-take-my-father-for-granted role exceptionally well. Although half the time I was staring at her light brown eyes, wondering if they were au natural or the works of color contacts, I can honestly say that every single time a tear fell from those natural/fake (you pick) eyes, I too, got teary eyed. I can’t say I understand how it feels to lose a parent, but neither can Go Ah-Ra. However, through her skills in acting (although at times she seemed a bit… amateur?) she molded herself to become her given character. And for that, I applaud her.
Kang Nam-Gil as Son Il-Gun
Okay, so, I never heard of seen this man in my life. Maybe he’s done dramas in the past, dramas I’ve never watched before. But, despite his age, he’s a new face for me. And with that, there’s no biased opinions, so, I guess that’s a good thing. Anyway, Kang Nam-Gil embodies his character as a single, working father very well. With every verbal punch his daughter threw at him, the pain in his face was covered with a smile. Sound familiar? Maybe not to you all, but, to me, it touches close to home. Every time I said something I later regretted to my mother or father, I saw that same expression on Kang Nam-Gil’s face. And for me to have some kind of flashback of sort just shows that he portrayed his character just as he was supposed to; he hit the spot. The only bad thing I can say about him is… in the not-so-serious scenes, the way he acted, goofy, I guess you can say.. was kind of cheesy. No, not kind of. But, very cheesy.
Jin Yi Han as Shim Jae Ha
We all know that every Korean drama needs a bitch to bring the mood down, right? Well, surprise, surprise. The bitch in this drama is in fact a lying, sleazeball of a dick that tries to win over the vulnerable, naive Young-In so he can retrieve something he wants from her. Asshole of a move, right? Well, throughout the drama, I can honestly say I had a lot of strong hatred towards him. So, I guess he did his job well, right? He did however, fool me in the beginning. Before I knew what was up his sleeves, I thought he was the Charming Prince, who won the heart of Young-In. But, of course I was wrong.
Other characters include:
* Lee Un as Kwon Yong Duk
* Lee Min Jung as Yang Ji Suk
* Kim Young Ae as Park Ji Young
* Ahn Sun Young
* Kang Bu Ja
* Yoon Yeo Jung
* Kim Mi Kyung
* Jung Hwan Gyu
* Yoon Joo Sang as Death Angel
* Kim Bo Kang
* Jung Ho Bin
* Kim Sung Gi
At first, I thought I would never finish watching the end of this series. Yet alone, watch the second episode--but, I was wrong. The more I watched, the more I got sucked into the dark, evil hole. I can honestly say that I have never heard of a story plot similar to this drama, “Who Are You.” I think because of the uniqueness of the synopsis, and cast selection it made the drama 10x better. This drama didn’t keep me anticipating 24/7, but, I always looked forward to the next episode. Sure, there were times where I skipped some scenes because it became a tad cliche and boring… but, other than that, I can’t really say anything negative about this drama. If you’re bored, watch it. If you’re not bored, watch it. If you want to get away from lifes’ struggles, watch it. If you want to create more lifes’ struggles, watch it. You may watch this drama and ask me “what the hell were you talking about?” And that’s fine. It may not be your cup of tea, but, it was mine. So, with that, cheers!

I thought it was incredibly stupid. Haha. Some scenes were too exaggerated and I felt like punching the characters for being so damn annoying. Still, some of my friends loved it. To each his own.

I got done watching the last episode a few minutes ago. ^_^
Not the GREATEST drama I’ve seen, but it was good. Acting wasn’t horrible, yet it wasn’t like OMG-good either..
May 03, 2008 - 11:36 AM
The ending was so… not… fulfilling. I actually wrote this review while watching the last episode. And, if I knew the episode was going to end with a .... I would’ve given them a 3.5.
May 03, 2008 - 10:16 PM
the father is form goong ...
isnt he?
May 04, 2008 - 03:58 PM
oh? i’m watchign it right now and i rather like it, Yoon Kye-Sang and the other sleazy guy are pretty hot, but i havent’ seen the ending yet, but from the looks of it, i’m kinda dreadin git now
May 05, 2008 - 04:41 PM
the father is from.. Bad Family. and Goong i think....
I didn’t know Yoon Kye-Sang was a singer… I actually didn’t get the “singer” vibe from him. I thought he was decent… I could really tell the difference between his two personalities… a lot better than some singers.
Go Ah-Ra wasn’t bad either… lol i was wondering about the contacts as well (i really think they are contacts)
I didn’t finish the drama.. don’t know if i’ll ever will. I wanted to punch the father at times because he’s such an idiot… making things worst for his daughter.

I haven’t seen the last episode yet ^_^ but, my god i love this drama. I think AhRa is a great actress. I wasn’t displeased at all. The funny parts in the drama were actually FUNNY. I can’t believe that dude made fun of Rain’s C’mon yo! lolol! I’m loving every minute of this drama i definately recommend it ! ^^ It is a tear jerker at times tho!
May 18, 2008 - 10:54 PM
I got turned off on the first episode.
with that i say
“what the hell were you talking about?!”
ahahahahaha
It really wasn’t my cup of tea so i watched a japanese drama instead. lol.
I’ve watched enough korean dramas....for now. =]
May 23, 2008 - 03:31 AM
I haven’t finished watching it (only 5 more eps to go!), but i’ve liked it so far.
The dad was really annoying at first, and i normally hate the ghost-staying-on-earth-to-fulfill-their-wish type of drama, but i eventually got used to it since the plot was so different =]
...and just for reference, Go Ara’s eye color isn’t from contacts. Apparently there’s a region in Korea where that eye color is common (or something like that, ionno...)

OMFG. I LOVE THIS DRAMA. THE LEAD ACTORS ARE ADORABLE, BUT THE AGE DIFFERENCE MAKES ME SHIVER A LITTLE.
May 29, 2008 - 06:43 PM
I really wanted Jae Ha to end up
with Young In <3333 haha I think they
had better chemistry (on screen) than
her & Seung-Hyo. If only he weren’t so
money hungry .... :(
Jun 01, 2008 - 01:09 AM
^ Girl, what are you talking about? YoungIn and SeongPo were perfect for each other. The acting of that JaeHa guy was so dry. It was the first time I didn’t root for the second guy and thought the male lead was perfect for the female lead.
Jun 02, 2008 - 01:45 AM
^ Really? I didn’t for some reason!! LOL.
I think it was because in the beginning
before Jae Ha revealed that he was only using her,
he treated her really well! I think he’s cuter
than Seung-Hyo too! =X HAHAHAHA I like ahjusshis lol. jk

Jun 22, 2008 - 09:09 PM
Omiigod!! I watch a freakin’ 17 episodes to find a CRAPPY ending! (ok, it was sweet and all...) but wTf???? like, there was still so many questions! its like the director ditched the drama totally! and sorry to say but the female actor wasn’t that goood. I’ve seen better, and what was that money crazed guy’s name(the one who searched ever so desperately for the son ill gun’s paintngs?) him, yes, he was so ..off and it was just bad.... the way he acted.
tsk. but overall it was good, and definitely unique as far as the plot.
the cha seung hyo guy was good too.
Jul 04, 2008 - 11:49 AM

Sep 05, 2008 - 11:40 AM
this drama is definitely refreshing from the other Korean dramas with the ‘i love you but i can’t, and now I’m going to somehow get a disease and end up dying’ scenario. The character YoungAe really annoyed me -__- The last episode was really disappointing. But I’d give it a 4/5 also.
