Guys, I was wondering if there was one KPOP group, You wish or will be or has potential to be as famous as PSY. Like a group that could take America by storm. Of course better than PSY it terms of popularity is all I'm comparing. Think of all the Guy groups and girl groups you think could Claim the spot of American Fame. Tell me Why. If you want you could tell me who wouldn't too. I'm Just curious it's a question I ask myself all the time.

If only the spoke better English besides Chunji I would choose Teen Top simply because their style would fit the "American" style and plus their names are quite simple to remember ...

But... I want EXO to be but is just to many members they need to brush up on english on some members. They have the look the girls would love but it's hard to see them on Good Morning America and American butchering their names >.<

It's hard to tell who would but i feel like by the end of this year or next don't be all too surprised if there is a KPOP (boy band) that will blow up in America i have a funny feeling they will.

I know 2ne1 can do it, but if it means sacrificing the actual group and making it CL and Her Backup for fame, I'm not supporting it. And I wish Girl's Generation could do it, but I know this country wouldn't react well to "OMG NINE ASIAN GIRLS WHO ALL LOOK THE SAME"

yea I agree with you but I think all Korean groups need to get better in English idk really know what group would make it over here I but I kinda wish super junior would have come over here before psy cuz when I tell people I listen to kpop their automatic reaction is ohh psy so if super junior had come over first everyone wouldn't think of kpop as so overweight guy who had one hit song but a some good looking men with nice bodies lol

It's a sad reality, but I don't know if America would be accepting of an Asian act right now. Boa tried, WG tried, GG sorta tried, Se7en tried... yet we didn't get anywhere. Psy was popular because GS was a goofy song, full of opportunities to play the Asian stereotype card again. I quite frankly don't care if any kpop act makes it into America. America is not the most important or the only country in the world. The question is, which act will make it big by simply being a kpop act and expand their popularity all over the world: Europe, Australia, Africa etc...who needs America.

its hard to tell but I would love it if suju made it. Suju is huge internationally and it would be great if America is open to them like we are. Also, SHINee. SHINee has this special thing about them and they're just amazing. Plus theyre young which is a plus. However I HATE the fact that almost every non k poper calls them a Korean one direction.

Yes they all need to brush up on English b4 thinking of coming to America but IDK maybe it could work for them ... Who knows ^_^. I know people only see PSY and I'm like "NO" their is So much more talent in KPOP... SUJU would make it because their music is catchy and American like very repetitive and mainstream so I agree  people would love them

I doubt it will happen, PSY only became famous because he's practically a comedian not because of his musical talent. And there are so many other countries in the world, I don't get why Koreans are so obsessed with USA.

I know that the United States will easily welcome K-Pop's hottest artists with open arms without a single doubt, especially with Girls' Generation and RaNia.  I know that K-Pop is now pretty well known in the US and I know that there won't be a problem with accepting today's hottest K-Pop artists into the American music market.  Unlike those of you who are skeptical and worried, I am optimistic in my favorite K-Pop artists making it big in the American music market.  And that's why i'm happy to see amazing and talented girl groups such as Girls' Generation and T-ara N4 making a big splash in the US.  I will patiently wait for their English albums to be released in the US very soon

I get your point ... But what you're not realizing is if you make in America your path becomes easier the fact is when BoA and Se7en tried KPOP was unheard or yes PSY is a joke, I get it but the past 2 years more and more Asian's has killed the stereotype . For you to say Who needs America is ridiculous most of kpop is infused by american culture so thats silly for you to say

"If America likes it it must be cool"? No. More like: If America likes it it will spread all over the world because the music industry is huge there. People from other countries can actually think on their own and decide for themselves what they like, you know?

I can assure you that 75% of the hits in America aren't even anywhere near famous over here (Belgium, Europe) so ehrm honestly America isn't as important as you make it out to be... We have our own music and artists and only take over the exceptionally catchy/good songs

hmm you do have a point. I did exaggerate when i said those words. I realize american music/popular culture is very important and influenced many artists.

I think the group would have to be big in lots of different countries before trying the US. Like, most of SM's artists could probably do it (SNSD, TVXQ, SuJu, maybe Shinee and f(x)) Big Bang and 2NE1 too. They're the ones with the bigger international fan bases.
