Commemorating National Buddha Day on May 3, various online communities are talking about a past video which was posted on YouTube of a group of Buddhist performers known as Buddha Hands Up at the 'Chulga Concert' from last year.

The footage contained a group of Buddhist monks from Dongguk University's 'Baek Sang Won' team rapping to a song called "Show Me the Buddha."

The monks performed to the beat of rapper Gray's hit song "Just Do It," demonstrating impressive beatboxing skills as they grabbed the audience's attention with their meaningful lyrics about life's philosophy and spirituality brightening up the atmosphere.

What especially caught the netizens off-guard were the skills displayed by the Buddhist monks.

The other day I saw two monk got out of a Audi R8 at Costco. On the same afternoon, I saw another two monk shopping for the new iPhone 8 at the Apple store. Trash whatever your thoughts are about monk because this is 2017. Monk raps (and yes, speaks English) and you can see them in line at Chick-A-Fillet too.

I will share with you a little information about why Buddhist monks shave their body and head hair , they also suppose to shave their eye brows , they do it as sacrifice to heavens and for spiritual healings , in ancient china hair was believed to be gift from your parents so they were told to never shave or cut it , that's why Chinese or east asians in general kept their hair long men and women had long hair , also when they find traitor or criminal as punishment/degrade for them they would chop of that person hair off . . what I find interesting is in Hinduism the parental religion that influenced buddism , in hindiusm most monks keep their hair long as form of wisdom and knowledge .
