On April 3, the mayor of London Sadiq Khan and the mayor of Seoul Park Won Soon officially signed the Friendship City Agreement.
A Friendship City Agreement is "a long-term, cooperative relationship between two cities in different countries through which cultural, educational, business, and technical exchanges take place", according to Sister Cities International.
The signing of the agreement is expected to strengthen the bond and bring mutual benefits to both cities.
Regarding the newly established relation, Sadiq Khan stated, "The friendship between Seoul and London shows London will continue to thrive and to be open to the world after Brexit."
