Friendship City Agreement has been signed between Seoul and London.

On April 3, the mayor of London Sadiq Khan and the mayor of Seoul Park Won Soon officially signed the Friendship City Agreement.

A Friendship City Agreement is "a long-term, cooperative relationship between two cities in different countries through which cultural, educational, business, and technical exchanges take place", according to Sister Cities International

The signing of the agreement is expected to strengthen the bond and bring mutual benefits to both cities.

Regarding the newly established relation, Sadiq Khan stated, "The friendship between Seoul and London shows London will continue to thrive and to be open to the world after Brexit."

Park Won Soon also said, "Today's signing between Seoul & London will bring mutual benefit and prosperity!"

Cool :), are they gone sign that with some European countries since they are doing a brexit? I'm so lost with that Brexit thing.

Basically the UK are leaving the european union and because of that a lot of trade deals are cancelled. Signing with S.korea could open up the possibility of trade deals in the future (which would be nice), and yes, we plan on getting new trade deals with europe when everything is sorted.

I'll believe it if and when London hosts more Kpop concerts, which as of right now is almost non-existent. Still, nice to see this between London and Seoul as a Brit :)
