A man writes a heartfelt message to his girlfriend, one of the victims in the Sewol Ferry incident

Buzz
A man wrote a letter on Kyungpook National University's Facebook page on March 13 and it is receiving a lot of attention from netizens.

Mr. A wrote the letter for his girlfriend, who tragically passed away from the Sewol Ferry Incident.

The letter reads, "I'm someone who can't write well. However, there is someone I would like to write to today.  To you who won't reply.

Hello. Today marks the 1,163rd day since we've met each other. Time sure does fly, doesn't it? I couldn't sleep thinking about our 100-day anniversary.

You once told me, 'There's a school trip coming up on our 100-day anniversary, should I not go?' I then responded with, 'It's your school trip. Just go have fun with your friends. We can meet during the weekend."

Since we attended different high schools and we were secretly dating, I think I was being cautious at that time. And with that, you left for the trip while I went to class as usual on that day. Afterward, I received multiple texts messages from you.  Seeing this I thought, 'You must've been so bored' and was about to disregard them...when I realized the content was pretty serious.

'I was very happy during the last 99 days.'

'I really do like you very much.'

'Don't feel too sad if you don't hear back from me.'

Seeing this, I immediately called you and messaged you several times but you did not answer. I really couldn't understand what was going on at that moment."

After finding out what had happened in class, I called you two hours later, left a voice message, and a text message but there was still no response. All I got back from you was dead silence. There was nothing I could do.

Do you know how much time has passed since then? It's been three years... I spent these past years trying to study and getting into college. I'll be entering college in a few days now. I lived my days believing that time is like medicine.

However, that wasn't the case for me. I didn't want to feel any guilt or sadness towards you but I'm sorry. I can't still... just yet. I'm truly sorry. And I miss you."
