Koreans in Montreal organize anti-Park protest

Protests continue as President Park's corruption scandal becomes more and more bigger. Last weekend, over 2 million people gathered to demand President Park to step down.

As Koreans gathered in Seoul, Koreans in Canada also held their own protest in Montreal on December 3.

Banners that read, "Step Down Park" could be seen and protestors created a shape of a boat -- Sewol Ferry -- with candles. Yellow umbrellas that also symbolizes Sewol Ferry were also present, reminding everyone of President Park's potential involvement in the tragedy. Koreans, Korean Canadians, as well as non-Korean Canadians gathered to express their support and empathy for Koreans.

Koreans who heard the news of the protest thanked the Canadian protestors, saying, "Thank you for your heart that is thinking about our country from far away," and "It's great to see people taking action."

They need to do this in Korea, not in Canada, not in any other country! This is what third world country does.I thought Korea was democratically "advanced" country and I thought they could handle their own affairs. Guess I was wrong! What a shame!

We ARE doing it in Korea ... every weekend. Do you know how large the Korean community is in Canada? Can they not show support for their land of origin?

Here is my problem with these people: Yes Koreans are doing it very well, peacefully I might add. As we speak. President Park already has said she will quit in April and congress is working on it. So what is their problem? Do they want her to just quit? Do they think presidency is 9-5 job? Why can't you wait and let the process work? These people who are demonstrating in Canada are not supporting their compatriots in Korea. All they are doing is showing off and "disrupting" democratic political process that is happening in Korea. If they want to support them, go to Korea! You do realize that whole world is laughing at Korea, don't you?

Only after busting their sides at the US electing Orange Howdy Doody which bodes badly for more of the world than my tiny little country. Oh and thanks. It's good to know that you're a mind reader and knows exactly how every Korean in Canada is thinking. I've also read your replies to other readers when they've criticised President Park. You basically lost your mind. I guess that was when you were still in Wang_Sejung mode. Have a lovely evening

"... since it happens every 100 years" means it happens so rarely that you just don't expect it. Not that they never happens. So no correction.

Lmfao, people now here act like they care.. when I always pointed out this bitch was corrupted, I always got flack by some users and they especially got upset when I told them why you want your idols to hang around her, they would call me jealous and a hater. Bitches be praying their idol is not associated with her. I'm side eyeing especially Yoona fans.

I give this advice to all the readers who want to have several accounts with different personalities ... keep a journal. That way you don't trip yourself up by calling someone's mother a whore because they think the President of Korea is a criminal and in another post claim the "world" is laughing at Korea. Or you could just abandon your 39 personalities and be yourself.
