As more details of a little girl who was brutally abused and killed by her adoptive parents are being released, Koreans are shocked and angered, demanding justice. 

The 6-year-old who was found dead with her hands and feet tied with tape experienced starvation and extreme violence. 

The adoptive mother always made food for herself; when she fed her daughter once in awhile, she would only feed her adoptive daughter with a small amount of rice and kimchi. The mother would beat her with a fly swatter because the child was "greedy with food."

This past holiday season, the couple tied the victim's hands and feet and left her alone in a small balcony area while the couple visited their hometown for 3 days. The mother confessed, "I didn't want the relatives to see the injuries on her, so I left her at home." 

The little girl was all by herself as the co-residents, a 19-year-old female and her boyfriend, also left for the holiday. 

When the adoptive parents finally returned, the 6-year-old was laying down on the floor, covered in her own urine. She had no food or water for 3 days.

The mother argues that she then bathed the daughter and gave her some rice to eat. 
 

The police investigation revealed that the abuse began only 2 months into the adoption back in September of 2014. The mother explained, "Around November of that year, my daughter said to a neighbor, 'She's not my real mom' and I started to regret the adoption... I wanted to hide that the girl had been adopted, but everyone found out, and I got mad and began the abuse." 

The young couple who also lived in the same residence testified that they rarely saw the little girl getting fed. The 19-year-old's boyfriend said, "I lived in that house in July and August, and I only saw them feeding her about 3 times." 

On weekends, when everyone in the family would grill pork belly, the little girl was only given a few pieces of meat, thrown by one of the family members. 

When the victim was fed, she had to sit at a separate table and the only dish she would get were rice and kimchi. The child was so skinny, that her ribs were visible under her thin skin. 

The abusive mother would accuse the girl of stealing food, being greedy with food, and beat her. She would then tie her up, first with shoe strings, then eventually with Scotch tape, because the shoe strings would come undone easily. This is how the victim went to sleep every night. 

The victim's entire body was covered with bruises, and the younger couple confessed that the little girl never begged for the abuse to stop. 

The child passed away on September 29, after being tied up, starved, and abandoned. The couple burned her body and threw away the remains. 

The offenders -- the couple and the 19-year-old female -- were initially being charged with child abuse and accidental death, but after the investigation that revealed the gruesome details, the police are charging them with homicide.
