Military commander demands silence from victim after sexual harassing lower ranking officer

A commander in the army and his attempt to cover up sexual harassment has been exposed, angering the public.

According to military press documents released on October 10, a female staff sergeant was sexually harassed by a male first sergeant back in June.

The incident took place at a dinner hosted by a battalion commander.  The first sergeant allegedly forced the female staff sergeant to sit next to him, touched her inappropriately, and said, "You know I like you. Let's leave together."

The following day, the victim reported the incident to another higher-up, only to hear a ridiculous response.

The commander argued, "Think carefully. For the sake of the battalion, just forget about it... What are you trying to accomplish by causing trouble?

The division chief, who also received the harassment report, apparently ordered, "Let the guy apologize but make her sign an agreement so she doesn't bring this up again."

Everyone in the leadership position who should have done something only tried to help cover up the crime.

The details of this incident only rose to the surface after the victim reported it to the military police.

The first sergeant has been arrested and the investigation continues.

FFS… Huge props to the woman for standing up for herself – against more than two people – and reporting the crime. You go girl, keep strong!

https:// www. washingtonpost. com/news/checkpoint/wp/2016/09/26/air-force-colonel-facing-court-martial-for-rape-found-dead/ ... <-- Recently, a HIGH RANKING OFFICER in the USA Military did NOT behave well either. Quoting from this USA Newspaper URL Article --> "According to charging documents filed by the (USA Military) Air Force in December, Caughey raped one woman as he held her against the wall and floor, groped women on two other occasions, and violated an order from a two-star general to stay away from another victim ... The *married* colonel also was charged with six counts of adultery — a crime in the military — for allegedly having consensual sex with four other women, according to the documents." ... Duty, Honor, Country ???

Wow so they put extreme media attention to celebrities' sexual assault cases but kept quiet about real life cases in the military? Are they treating women being sexually assaulted as a form of entertainment?? What is wrong with this society...

This is almost exactly the plot to a movie I watched a while ago... to think people would try this in real life... how shameful. Hopefully this matter is dealt with properly and there is justice for the woman.

Are you talking about the movie with Kristen Stewart and she was stationed at Gitmo? If it sounds familiar it's because the quotes are the EXACT lines from the movie which leads me to believe this is a bunch of bullshit. I'll go look and see if it's being reported in Korean news.

nanuk bangeryun94 Wednesday, October 12, 2016

I don't think it was that one... so there are even more movies with this plot ahah wow. I honestly can see how this would be real, I hope it's not though. Whichever party is in the wrong... smh

Somebody obviously went to the Trump school on how to treat women.

"For the sake of the Battalion", we should be punishing people without honor.... is what should have been said.

I was told that a lot of female soldier/sergeant gets raped in the army. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I kinda believe it.

pink_oracle fatbom Tuesday, October 11, 2016

Because it's fucking true. Thousands are abused and then either bullied into silence or murdered and covered up. It happens all over the world.

bangeryun94 fatbom Wednesday, October 12, 2016

Yeah, in the US.

pink_oracle bangeryun94 Wednesday, October 12, 2016

And here in the UK. Just this year a family were desperately trying to get it proved their daughter in the military was sexually abused by multiple people and then murdered to cover it up. Is this the price we pay for national security? Feed a few sheep to the wolves? It's ridiculous.
