SBS released an exclusive report on August 25 relaying the unfortunate story of a taxi driver who passed away from a heart attack in the middle of driving his passengers to their destination.

Because the driver, identified as 62-year-old Lee, suffered the heart attack while behind the wheel, the taxi crashed into a foreign car that was directly ahead. The passengers who were riding in the taxi at the time reportedly left the scene without even calling for help, in a great hurry to reach their destination.

When the taxi crashed, the passengers just grabbed their luggage and caught another taxi without bothering to dial emergency services. According to witness accounts, Lee was belatedly transferred to the hospital but it was already too late for medical professionals to save him.

Meanwhile, the passengers who fled the scene without helping Lee reportedly stated, "We had to leave in a hurry to catch the airport shuttle bus and catch our flight."

The least you could've done would be calling emergency while waiting/on the other taxi, since you vacation matters so much. You could've went on your trip while at least trying to save a poor man's life, yet you decided to do something so irrelevant. Even if you didn't think that, why the heck would you choose vacation over a human's life? You're fucking heartless. I seriously hope you've actually missed your trip.

So....  "we couldn't stop for 2 minutes to call 911 and read a street name because we paid X amount of money for plane tickets and we choose the money/tickets/vacation/seat instead of a man's life being (possibly and most likely) saved".... i see

I hope they get a heart attack somewhere isolated so they can't get any help from anyone. I have absolutely no pity or sympathy for people like this

An emergency call wouldn't have taken a lot of time. These passengers simply are jerks!

The part that really hits me is the fact that this man had a chance to live if that couple had taken action fast enough / taken any action at all. Because the couple didn't do anything his life was basically taken away without any chance to fight for his life. People really scare me and this really shows the depths of human selfishness..
