An art professor at a Gangwon Province university is suspected of sexual harassment against students, stirring up a controversy. As investigations into this case continue, some people are protesting the possibility that because the school is delaying its disciplinary action against the professor, he may never be punished for what he did to the students.

According to the talk on campus, the professor is suspected of touching female students' body parts in the midst of his lectures. Victimized students said, "It would be normal for him to touch our hands, arms, and shoulders, and he would even place his hand inside our clothes saying that he'll clean up the oil stain on our clothes." Further, the professor was known to ask female students for their numbers and request to visit them.

Having had enough of the professor's sexual advances, the students finally exposed his actions on social media. The university's student council revealed that they received reports from 17 victimized students. After learning of the professor's assaults from the student council, the school decided last month to remove all of his lectures to prevent him from coming in direct contact with the students.

Subsequent the cancellation of his classes, the professor attempted to explain himself to the student body; however, the students refused to accept his excuses, and he is currently in the process of preparing a more detailed justification and plans to hold a meeting with the student body. Meanwhile, the school is conducting yet another investigation into the case.

The disciplinary action against the professor will be decided at the end of this month after his meeting with the students and the conclusion of the school's investigation.

A rep from the school emphasized, "There are people who believe that we will let the suspect off with a light punishment or that we will just carelessly cover the whole incident up, but we assure you that no such thing will happen. We are taking care of the incident carefully and judiciously."

If rape is not considered a serious crime in get-away-with-any-crime against females Korea, how in the hell would this be considered anything serious?

But seriously though.. "and he would even place his hand inside our clothes saying that he'll clean up the oil stain on our clothes." wtf..? Definitely be interested to hear the professor explain how he thinks that's normal behavior.... even if the professor was a woman i'd think that's super weird.

The investigation is still ongoing. Until that is done and evidence against him has been verified, there is nothing they should be doing that they haven't already done. You don't punish someone just because they were accused. You prove it first.

True, there have been cases of students ganging up against lecturers out of spite.

"It would be normal for him to touch our hands, arms, and shoulders, and he would even place his hand inside our clothes saying that he'll clean up the oil stain on our clothes." >> Even touching a student's hand is disgusting enough, I think... but yeah the rest of the line was just plain sick... I hope this prof gets punished accordingly.

Sounds more like he inappropriately flirted with his students.

LOL AKP trash clickbait.  Let's get this straight because the school is DOING AN INVESTIGATION instead of arbitrarily dismissing him based on social media comments (and thereby opening up the possibility of being sued for unlawful termination), AKP reports it as "to not be punished" in order to get clicks.

Exactly my thoughts. Like did the author even read what they posted before giving it a title?

There's a question mark at the end of the title, they didn't really report it as "Not to be punished" its more like allowing or making the readers make an hypothesis for this issue. Just sayin'
