Korean Americans, no, scratch that... Asian Americans are generally underrepresented in western media so it's always nice to see when they take front and center of the screen instead of straying around the margins. Nowadays, pop culture in the west seems to be slowly warming up to the idea of Asians on the big screen and the airwaves.

'America's Next Top Model (ANTM),' which entered its 22nd season, is one such western mainstream show to feature Asian Americans. Not so special you say? Well, what if I told you the reality series will be featuring its first ever male Korean American contestant? ANTM has had Asian Americans on the show, including Korean American girls in the sixth and thirteenth seasons. However, this is the first time a Korean American guy is competing on the show. 

Justin Kim, a hunky 6'2", 23-year-old hailing from Springfield, Virginia, is a 1st generation Korean American whose parents immigrated to the United States over three decades ago. Kim started his acting career while attending George Mason University, and he's made it this far!
