On August 6, video footage was uploaded on the Busan Government's official Facebook page which attracted the attention of netizens. The footage was taken near Busan University and shows a man refusing to return a purse that he snatched from the owner.
The woman in the footage yells at the man saying, "Give it back. I'm telling you to give it back to me." However, it was a struggle for her as the man was seemingly bigger and stronger. As they approached the person taking the footage, the man then attempted to grab the video camera as well.
At the end of the footage the video reads: "Have you ever had something precious taken away from you? August 15 will be the start of our story."
Whether the actual footage was real or an act, this video message is a PSA to celebrate the National Liberation Day of Korea. It is a public holiday that commemorates victory over Japan Day, which liberated Korea from colonial rule.
