Jung, who is currently enrolled at the University of Baguio, told listeners, "It was the first time I saw the elderly woman while I was walking past the city streets of Baguio. She must have been starved since she was grabbing onto everyone that passed her by, begging them to buy her food. I didn't feel too great when I saw guards inside a fast food restaurant chase her out. I thought of my own grandmother so I bought her food and ate with her. My heart ached watching her hands shake from being starved for such a long time," recalling the events of that day.

When the host asked him, "You said you thought of your own grandmother in Korea. Is she still alive and well?" Jung replied, "My grandmother passed away early. She used to take care of me when I was young so I thought of her a lot."

Jung concluded his interview by sending a message to his family back home, saying, "Mom, dad, I'm doing fine by myself abroad so don't worry too much, and little brother, I will see you once you complete your military service and are discharged. I love you."
