It has been reported that a 39-year-old Japanese man Toshikazu Kondo is suspected of setting fire to the Korean Cultural Center located in Tokyo, Japan.

The incident itself occurred on March 25 around 11:50 PM JST, when a man was caught on CCTV pouring gasoline onto the emergency exit of the Korean Cultural Center building and setting it on fire with a lighter. The fire caused around 15 million won (approx. $14,000 USD) worth of property damage. Fortunately, no one was injured. 

After analyzing the CCTV clip, police were able to track down and arrest Toshikazu using the critical clue that was his unique, pink jacket. As Toshikazu was wounded during his arrest, he is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Toshikazu, however, has denied all charges against him. Police are currently unable to identify a possible motive either as Toshikazu doesn't appear to have any links to extreme, right-wing organizations known to usually take out their frustrations on Korean institutions. They are still investigating into the issue. 

As for Toshikazu's charge, a Korean Embassy official has reported that the Japanese police plan on charging him with attempted burglary and destroying property rather than arson.
