19-year-old figure skater Adelina Sotnikova was once again asked a question regarding South Korea in a recent interview.

On April 1 (KST), Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda asked Sotnikova if she was scared of visiting Korea for the upcoming Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics after winning the gold medal over Kim Yuna during the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. According to the report, Sotnikova responded, "Honestly I'm anxious and worried about it." 

Sotnikova continued, "Kim Yuna is considered an idol in Korea. On the other hand, I understand the Koreans who criticize me." She said, "Kim Yuna along with Japanese skater Asada Mao and Italian skater Carolina Kostner are my favorite figure skaters." 

Despite Sotnikova expressing her admiration for Kim Yuna, netizens showed that they still intensely dislike the Russian figure skater for her gold medal win as top comments read, "Come over here b*tch," "Seeing that she's scared of coming here, looks like she knows that it was wrong of her to win the gold medal," and, "We won't hurt you, please come over to play... April Fool's." 

In other news, it was reported that Sotnikova recently submitted an application for the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympics.
