Back on November 27, a sweet elderly couple Cho Byeong Man (98) and Kang Kye Yeol (89) had Korea head over heels in their love story when they released their documentary 'My Love Don't Cross That River.' Kang has now written an adorable thank you message for the viewers who made her documentary a huge success.

'My Love Don't Cross That River' was released in theaters on November 27. In a month, the documentary gained over 3 million viewers at the box office and became the highest grossing independent film in Korea of all time. Although many were saddened to hear that Cho had unfortunately passed away, the public is relieved to see Kang is all smiles in her latest update. 

On February 3, CJ CGV updated their Facebook with the above picture. Their caption reads: "Grandmother Kang Kye Yeol has personally wrote a 'thank you' message for the viewers nationwide." They conclude with, "Always be healthy, grandmother. We love you." 

In the picture, Kang can be seen holding a sign that cutely reads: "Thank you to everyone who cared about our movie. I love you. Sincerely, Kang Kye Yeol." 

According to the documentary's director Cho Min Young, Kang is currently learning how to write in Korean, which explains the size of her letters and length of her message.

Netizens were touched to see Kang's efforts to communicate her thankfulness to the public. Top comments include: "Be healthy!" "Grandma, always be happy and live a long life <3," and, "Grandma, be healthy and be happy for a long, long time <3."
