2-year-old adopted child allegedly beaten to death by adoptive mother

Buzz

Tragic news was recently reported of a 2-year-old adopted child that passed away due to cardiac arrest and brain hemorrhaging. It was reported that the adoptive mother of the child was the one who called the hospital when she discovered the child lifeless.

The child was quickly taken to the hospital but was dead on arrival. After an examination, the doctors found various bloody bruises all over the child's body, raising eyebrows regarding the cause of death. Bruises were found all over the child's legs, arms, and around the chest.

When the hospital suspected foul play as they determined that there was something strange about these bruises, the police was contacted for an investigation and the mother was immediately arrested as the primary suspect.

The autopsy of the child showed evidence of homicide and signs of hemorrhage in the brain. The mother then admitted that she had hit the child as a form of disciplinary action after the child had tried to stick a chopstick into an electrical outlet.

As of now, because the mother had confessed to hitting the child, the police is speculating that the cause of death was homicide caused by the adoptive mother.

According to the coroner, they found various bruises so severe that the skin was peeling off like it was a burn. The bruises and scabs were also left untreated and showed signs of infection. After seeing such wounds, the police determined that the beating wasn't just a one time incident.

Currently, themother is claiming that although she did physically abuse the child, she had never hit the child in the head, which was determined to be the ultimate cause of the child's death. However, the brain damage could have been caused by either vigorous shaking or other external impacts.

The adoptive mother is still under investigation.
