KBS’s ‘Immortal Song 2‘ has broadcast its 4th episode on June 25th with its all-idol cast!

As revealed earlier, F.T. Island’s Lee Hongki, 2PM’s Junsu and MBLAQ’s G.O made their first appearance on the show, joining SISTAR’s Hyorin, 2AM’s Changmin and SECRET’s Song Ji Eun.

‘Immortal Song 2′ will have each contestant sing unique covers, just like on ‘I Am a Singer‘, however there will be no eliminations to challenge them. The six castmates will instead battle for pride, as the first place winner will be judged by a 200-member audience. Not only that, but they’ll also receive priceless pointers and tips from the original artists of the songs they cover.

The mission for the cast of KBS’s ‘Immortal Song 2′ today was to have a 1992 hit songs battle!

Songs that were ranked in the top 10 of 1992 were chosen for the cast members randomly which included Yang Soo Kyung’s “Love Is A Cold Seduction”, Lee Hyun Woo’s “Dream”, Hyun Jin Young’s “You In My Faded Memories”, Park Jung Woon’s “A Night Like This”, Yoo Seung Bum’s “Jealousy”, and Kim Hyun Shik’s “Love By My Side”.

With fresh new re-arrangements by the six idols, the 200 judging audience members were utterly captivated with the potential they showed. Check out the performance cuts below!

Shoujo Jidai (SNSD) is featured on the front cover of the August issue of “Ray” magazine, which started to be displayed in stores on June 23rd.

The nine members of the group showed up on the cover wearing a different coordination of white blouses and denim tops/rompers. To accent the simple outfits, they all wear summer-themed, vivid-colored heels, and show off their beautiful legs which every girl envies.

Their interview in this magazine features their thoughts on their current Japanese tour, and Shoujo Jidai also answered one hundred questions for “100 no Q&A”. Before the photography session, Taeyeon used moisturizer and scrub on her skin to emphasize her flawless skin for the photos.

This issue of “Ray” also featured models Karina, Izumi Rika, and Miyu wearing different summer outfits.

A few days ago, 2PM galvanized K-pop fans the world over with the teaser for their title track, “Hands Up“, and now the music video has been released!

JYP Entertainment revealed to allkpop that, “2PM’s ‘Hands Up’ is a fun club dance track that will allow fans to enjoy the summer season with 2PM. We ask for your attention and interest.”

Working the camera like the red carpet princes they are, 2PM has prepared a phenomenal new work which was filmed in Singapore for their fans and definitely make you put your hands up!

Earlier this month, Korean girl group After School announced their official Japanese debut, and the girls will debut with a Japanese version of their song, “Bang!“. Although, “Bang!” is a remake, the Japanese version will have a new arrangement and performance.

The single will come in three versions: limited edition A, limited edition B, and normal edition.

Limited Edition A will include the Japanese versions of “Bang!” and “Let’s Do It!“. The third track on the single will be the group’s first original Japanese song, which is yet to be determined. The DVD included will have the Japanese PV versions of both songs, as well as an introduction from the girls in Japanese. This edition will come in a slip case and with 1 of 10 random trading cards.

Limited Edition B contains the same contents as limited edition A, but the PVs on the DVD will be the Korean versions.

The normal edition is expected to come with six tracks, as opposed to the limited editions that will only contain three. This version will contain both Japanese and Korean versions of “Bang!”, their Japanese song, and instrumentals for all the tracks. The first press of this CD will come with 1 of 10 random trading cards.

Popular idol group KARA appeared at NTT Docomo’s “Optimus Bright” event as an image character on June 17th.

It has been awhile since all five members of KARA came back to resume their activities in Japan, and Kang Jiyoung of KARA greeted the reporters with, “Everyone, it has been a long time~!”

At the event, KARA danced and sang their new single, “Go Go Summer!”, which is scheduled to released in Japan on the 29th. Their new dance is titled “Kara Para”, and when the leader of the group, Park Gyuri, made a mistake, she said, “I will work harder”, to the crowd.

At the end of the event, all the members of the group said together, “Please continue supporting KARA!”

Cho PD has been using the account somewhat actively so far, as he’s updated the page with a bunch of videos already.

I would expect more of the same going forward, since Brand New Stardom has been extremely forthright in their efforts to connect with fans, as evidenced already by their Tumblr account, Twitter account, and putting their e-mail, address, and phone information directly on their Twitter page.

A few hours ago, allkpop posted Kim Bum Soo‘s new album, “SOLISTA: Part 2“, and now the music video for his title track, “Last Love“, has been revealed!

Pop group Choshinsei (Supernova) will release their 11th single, “Kuriunnare -Kimi ni Aitakute-“, on June 15th, and it’s also been revealed through online shopping sites that the group will release two new singles simultaneously on August 10th.

The first is “Kimi dake wa Hanasanai“, and it’s said to be a pure medium ballad that leaves unwavering feelings for an important person.

“Kimi dake wa Hanasanaide” will come in three versions, two limited editions and a normal edition. Each edition will come with a different jacket, but contain the same tracks.

The cover for limited edition A will have Jihyuk and Geonil, and it will also include a DVD with a PV and a serial number card for an event.

Limited edition B will have Kwangsu and Sungmo on the cover and will come with another jacket randomly selected from six designs.

The regular edition will have Yunhak and Sungje on the cover.

The second single they will release is “Meki☆Love“, and the song is said to have a catchy refrain and be an “impressive” upbeat song. It will come in three editions as well, two limited and a normal edition.

Limited edition B will have an alternative jacket and 1 of 3 random sticker designs, and it will also come with two application tickets with a serial number for an event.

The normal edition will only include the two application tickets.

Shinseido has also listed some of the details on the singles’ special privileges.

Course A is Choshinsei’s “Chou☆Summer Festival Episode 2” event, and 4,000 names will be chosen at random. The event will take place on August 13th, but the date and time have yet to be determined. Winners are scheduled to be announced by mail only on August 12th.

Course B will be a digital content present from all the members!

Each course can only be applied by one serial number, and it is possible to apply for both courses, but the serial numbers (application cards) must be different. The deadline for both courses are different as well.

Both will start on August 9th at 12:00 PM, but course A will end on August 11th at 23:59 and course B will end on August 14th at 23:59.

SECRET has just released the Japanese version of their music video for “Madonna“!

The girls plan to break into the J-pop scene with their hit single “Madonna“, which will come out on August 3rd. The group will be holding a showcase in Tokyo on July 6th prior to their Japanese single release.

SECRET has received the baton for the “Traffic Safety Song,” a collaborative campaign between SBS‘s “Inkigayo” and the Korean Transporation Safety Authority in promotion of safe driving and environment protection.

The girls showed much determination in delivering the meaningful message of the campaign by coming up with their own choreography for the song, so check out their music video below!

Just moments ago, Humming Urban Stereo released the music video for “You That Day“, which features popular actress Yoo In Na.

The song was actually released at the beginning of February, but it has taken until recently for the video to get unveiled.

Hyoyeon: “Nine members… I thought it was a bit much.”

Jessica: “At the time, there weren’t any other groups with as many members as us in Korea, so we thought it was too much. But we each have different personalities and we show different sides when we’re together, so we’re very happy that we can do activities as a nine-membered group now.”

Tiffany: “We were like, ‘Finally, we’re going!’”

Taeyeon: “It was our dream since before our debut, so we were really happy.”

Yuri: “Even so, we had a lot of anxiety as well. We really wanted to show ourselves naturally, so in order to break the language barrier, we studied before our debut.”

Tiffany: “And so we prepared, Sooyoung-chan~”

Sooyoung: “I felt pressure because I’m able to speak Japanese better than the other members. But once I started to think, ‘I have eight friends who are together, so it’s not really pressure’ and ‘Let’s think of it as going on vacation with members and having fun while working’ – it became really fun. I’m sure everyone felt anxious when our Japanese debut was decided, but now we’re having fun.”

Taeyeon: “I was really grateful that so many people came to our first live. There’s footage of (people) imitating us, right?”

Sooyoung: “Copy?”

Taeyeon: “People made parody videos, and I could feel that people were taking an interest in us.”

Sooyoung: “I’m sure there are people who know us through the internet, but I think it’s more thanks to our seniors BoA and TVXQ for spreading K-pop. We’ve reaped the rewards from that, so we’re really thankful. We also have to work harder for our juniors.”

Taeyeon: “‘Don’t do something you will regret…’ – It’s an unfortunate thing to feel regret. It’s the same when you look back on a day, and since starting this line of work I really started to feel this way. But even now, there are things I regret. I try my best while looking at this phrase.

Yuri: “‘Genius can’t win against those that work hard, and hard workers can’t win against those that have fun.’ – I think the most important thing is something you like and can enjoy. I always try to feel happy when I’m singing and dancing on stage. I try to think positively all the time.”

Jessica: “I was the most happy when we had our first concert abroad. It was my dream. We started in Seoul, Korea and then moved around for our Asia Tour. It was a valuable experience different from our usual stages. I’m also very excited for our first tour in Japan this time.”

Hyoyeon: “Fans cheer passionately for us no matter where we go. Are there any differences?”

Seohyun: “Language.”

Hyoyeon: “Yeah, language is different.”

Tiffany: “The strange thing is, no matter where we go, the fans do the chants in Korean. So I feel there are more similarities.”

[Happenings Abroad]

Yoona: “This time, when we came to the airport in Japan, I ended up falling asleep while waiting with the luggage. When I woke up, no one was around. Everyone went outside because they thought I’d gone to the ladies’ room. There are lot of members, so even in Korea, sometimes we lost track of people and left someone behind. But it hadn’t happened in a while.”

Jessica: “It happened a lot when we first debuted.”

Yoona: “It had been a while, so I was really surprised, but I also laughed. I was used to it, so I wasn’t scared. I figured they were outside and there they were.”

Tiffany: “We all thought, ‘Is Yoona in the ladies’ room? If we wait for her, she’ll come.’ We didn’t doubt that and waited for around 15 minutes without realising we’d left her there. It was like ‘Home Alone’.”

Sunny: “‘Do your best in any moment!’ – I didn’t have a phrase to live by until now, but I thought of this in a hurry just now. Yoona: “The day before the earthquake, we were in Japan, but on the day of, we went to Thailand for a performance. We found out about it in Thailand.”

Taeyeon: “I was worried about the staff in Japan so I contacted them right away. But the call didn’t go through easily, so we weren’t able to confirm their safety immediately. All the members were really surprised and worried.”

Sooyoung: “My mother heard we were holding a concert in Japan and she said, ‘You guys are a group that send messages through songs. Even if it’s foreign songs that are not your own, why don’t you sing songs that can be of some help?’ She gave me advice this way.”

Tiffany: “We will work hard so that we can deliver more happiness. I want to continue singing to express good energy.”
