The scene was quite gruesome with blood and violence. As a result, many viewers filed complaints about the scene being too violent andpointed outit was very disturbing to see agirl with a tiny figure getting beatby ahealthy young man.The scene was even reportedto the Korea Communications Standards Commission.

In response, the KCSC stated, "We have received many reports about 'My Mister'... If deemed problematic, then we will take action according to the rules."

During aNaver V live broadcast about the drama on March 22, IU also carefully commented on the issue and assured viewers, saying, "Lee Ji Ahn and Lee Kwang Il are characters who have stories in the past. My character is clearly in an enemy relationship with Jang Ki Yong. Ji Ahn and Kwang Il's story will be resolved from now on so please take time and watch."
