On May 11, SHINee's Jonghyun made a guest appearance on 'Kangta's Starry Night'!

"I enjoyed writing novels and essays ever since I was little," said the idol star, and also revealed he'd dreamt of becoming a poet or a composer someday. He even discussed a writing project he was working on currently, saying, "I'm currently working on a thriller novel. I would really like to get it published someday."

DJ Kangta then said jokingly, "If you ever do become a novelist or screenwriter, I want to play the villain. I like playing the bad guy." Jonghyun responded, "Villians are true psychopaths."

Jonghyun then went on to explain an incident where one song he had composed was rejected. "I gave Lee Hi the song "Breathe", but before that I let her listen to "Fireplace". Tablo heard it first and said 'This song is good but...' he started talking about something else so I knew it was rejected," explaining how his album was created afterwards.

Do you think Lee Hi would have been a good fit for "Fireplace"?

It's a great song but it probably fits Jjong more

I think she is too young for this kind of song, not her voice but emotionally so she wouldn't convey the song message with authenticity, my opinion.

I'm not used to seeing Jonghyun with black hair. I'm still trying to get use to it. When his hair was still black a long time ago, his skin was a bit tanned. But now, he looks pale with black hair. It's not a bad thing though.

Fairly sure he did not 'give ' her the song.  And even diane warren gets rejected nothing to sweat over.

when song writers say 'i gave this song to' they usually mean they wrote a song and then pitched it to someone who then liked it and accepted. there's business connotation to it, it's not like he means to say that he just gave it for free.
