Producer Ryan Jhun, who will be working with the male trainees of 'Produce 101' season 2 following his work with IOI and the other trainees from 'Produce 101' season 1, gave his two cents on which trainees will succeed on the show.
He will be working closely with the male trainees as both producer and mentor, and said, "I'm honored to have participated in the season 2 theme song, but rather than worrying about the song's popularity, I think I'll have fun helping these friends chase their dreams and achieve their goals. Friends who are well-mannered and humble have to succeed. [Just like in season 1,] I talked individually with the season 2 trainees. I asked them why they wanted to become singers."
He added that instead of those with generic answers like "I like performing on stage", he was looking for those who put meaning in the profession of a singer. Ryan Jhun continued, "Of course, they should be thinking about their professions. When I talk with them, there are definitely those who think of this line of work as a real and professional career. Because they're seeking this as a career, they are the ones who need to do well. And they will."
