'K-Pop Star 6' has been summoned to the Korea Communications Standards Commission.

KOCSC said, "We have received civil complaints from viewers on SBS' 'K-Pop Star 6' broadcasts on February 5th and 12th. On the 5th, children wore short school uniforms and put on a sexual performance. The problem of children being used as sexual subjects was brought up. Also, on February 12th, the girl group called YG Girls made of underage members in the teens sang Lady Marmalade, a song with sexual lyrics. That breaks Chapter 45, Article 6, and they will be evaluated on that as well."

So let me get this straight, they are okay with 11 year old Han Byul singing "All About the Bass" and slapping her butt but they have an issue with the older girls singing Lady Marmalade?

Good. But unfortunately this is likely some PR stunt. Going after a show in its final season isn't exactly addressing a serious problem that infects all of kpop. If they are serious, then they need to set the age of debut at 18 or 19. Otherwise the entire definition of "sexualizing minors" is entirely subjective and enforcement will be difficult. If management companies and media producers were less lazy, clueless, and incompetent, the industry could self-regulate itself, but they have proven they can't.

Lol.. why just the YG girls... if you ask me ive been watching the whole show and all the girls have been sexualized if thats teh argument.. someone even sang side to side.. even if they changed the lyrics a little it doesnt take away the knowledge of what we know about the song. Also if we are to be fair the whole K pop industry is about sexualizing kids.. like a kingdom of pedophilic dreams!!!! -_- why try to act all innocent now and point fingers!

finally someone's taking actions! When I said han byul is wearing way too much revealing clothes for her age they said it was for dancing.... and nothing wrong with it. But it was soo uncomfortable for me to watch, I mean she could wear leggings too you know.

Wow... so I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one who felt kind of uncomfortable about this. It wasn't just this season, too. There were past seasons where this was happening, too.
