The previous year was a busy one for the 11-member girl group IOI, who recently disbanded following their last concert on January 22. They did film a CF together afterward; however, it was the girls' final moment on the stage. IOI's official fan club also stopped services as well.

But, fans will still be able to see the girls active in a variety of fields! While Jeon So Mi is currently modeling, she will also make an appearance on season 2 of KBS2's 'Unnies' Slam Dunk'.  Trainees Choi Yoo Jung and Kim Do Yeon are getting ready to debut, while Yoo Jung is also a fixed cast member on Mnet's 'Golden Tambourine'. Trainees Lim Na Young and Pinky (Zhou Jieqiong) will also be debuting in a new group, named PRISTIN.  Kim Chung Ha is busy preparing for her solo debut, and as for Kim So Hye, it seems she will be taking a different path than the other girls. Having focused more on acting while training, the singer will be switching careers as an actress.

The rest of the members have joined up their groups under their own labels, including Cosmic Girls, DIA, and Gugudan.

Netizens commented, "Guess they are in a different place living under the same sky," "I don't have anything more to wish for but the best," "Thanks to IOI it was a wonderful year for me," "We will continue to support you girls."

Fuc.k Sohye, you literally took a spot of someone who REALLY wanted to become an idol away from them, just to go back to acting, because you never had passion for stage-entertaining in the first place. FUC.K YOU.

I thought 70% of popular idols end up doing acting?

Yeah, they prioritize being an idol cause thats their burning passion, and after being an idol they make acting deals inbetween when they are not having comebacks. While Sohye never wanted to be an idol, and only wanted to be an actress, so she snatch away aspot for someone girls who hunger for this.

Yeah you are right, there are many idols like that, but I'm sure there are plenty of idols who only wanted to be actress & actor at the beginning. Being an idol is kinda like a stepping stone in between. I mean look at all the actor and actress that left their group in order to pursuit acting. (Lee Joon, Han Sunhwa, Ryu Hwayoung). There are also trends where small-time actors and actresses never lands any roles, because producer prefer idols(or company push them).

Yh, but they never snatched the spot from anyone, they wanted to be an idol, but found out that acting was something they wanted to do more, while Sohye already knew that she wanted to be an actress from the start.

Some idols became idols to only get popular than go to acting because that's what they wanted to do in the first place. That happens to many idols.

A lot of different groups and activities to follow, but the 11 members of IOI were too precious to lose track of. It will be extra effort, but worth it.

Nobody much seems to agree with me, but I think that it is *good* that IOI Group is ending as planned. The IOI members 'move on' to *other* K-pop Groups where their fans can follow them there too. And IOI Group goes out 'on top' and remembered at their *peak* performance. IOI Group does *not* 'over stay their welcome,' is what I mean to say it.
