It seems the AOA member had a great 2016 and birthday (January 3) as she made the below post to Instagram on January 4. Seolhyun wrote:

"Hello, this is Seolhyun.
I end up writing a letter like this every year on my birthday.
I'm writing in hopes I can show my gratitude to those who help my happiness.
I'm happy to the point of tears that I was able to spend my birthday with so much love and not many worries. 
I was very happy last year, and I was also very hurt.
I think I can be more mature because of that.
The happy memories enable me to gain strength today.
Though I feel some disappointment and guilt, I think it's a waste to feel tired when I see the people who work hard for me and cheer me on.
There's nothing I can do except work hard in return.
I'll always be a Seolhyun who works hard!! To the people who say that I'm a strength to them!!
I gain strength because of them too. (??�??�?)?
With that in mind, my happiness this year is important, but I hope the world has more happy people too.
As I've felt gratitude because of so many people, I want to be someone who helps others be happy as well.
