A new online term called 'EBS' has been a hot topic among netizens lately.

EBS usually refers to a Korean Educational Broadcasting System focussing on programs to help students with their exam material. However, the term is being used online to refer to the current, top 3 most popular boy groups among teens, or domestic fans from ages 10-19.

As most of you probably already know, EBS stands for EXO, BTS, and Seventeen, and became popular around the time Super Junior's Heechul mentioned them alongside NCT on a broadcast of "A Hyung I Know".

However, when netizens noticed that the term was being so widely used within the online community that even news headlines mentioned the term, they began getting riled up. While some are not against the term gaining more and more popularity, a select few number of EXO fans claim, "EXO should not be put in their level", "Yeah I don't like EBS let's stop using it", "Stop trying to connect them to EXO", etc. Negative comments aimed toward Seventeen include, "Seventeen is apparently popular nowadays, trying to get up on EXO's and BTS's level, as if...", "I don't know Seventeen...", "I realize EXO and BTS are popular but this is the first time I'm hearing that Seventeen are popular", and more.

What do you think of 'EBS'?
