Jung Chae Yeon reveals how she lost nearly 35 pounds

Jung Chae Yeon discussed her dieting method in a recent photo shoot interview for 'International BNT.'


In the pictorials, Jung Chae Yeon wore jewelry pieces from 'Lamucha' and showed off her unique beauty in two different concepts. She donned a white shirt and a knitted top, portraying her innocent beauty. The second concept with a simple black dress showed off her glam and chic beauty. 


She explained, "I started off at 64kg (141 lbs) and lost 16kg (35 lbs) in 3 months. I ate almost nothing, and only ate soft tofu and soy milk. If I wanted to eat more, I would eat cherry tomatoes. Doing dance practice on top of that helped me lose weight." 

About maintaining the weight, she commented, "My overall health, including my blood pressure, became bad. Because I have to work, I eat nowadays." When asked about her health, Chae Yeon added, "People don't pass out that easily. I take vitamins and other supplements. When I have a chance to eat, I eat well."

    that's a really bad diet..and i'm actually glad she got health and blood pressure problems from it . Those problems must've helped her realize to never undergo such lousy dieting regimen ever again.

    For anyone reading this, please don't try this at home.For this diet, your only source of nutrition is : Soymilk,Tofu and Cherry Tomatoes. Essentially this is a low-carb diet. As a result fat isn't the only thing that is burned here. Muscle is burned here as well. What results? a loss in muscle mass which means a reduction in BMR(basal metabolic rate), the amount of calories burned by the body by just being alive. As a result achieving a calorie deficit to lose weight becomes even harder to achieve. With diets like these you are more prone to binge eating and/or gaining back even more weight then you had lost. Slow and steady wins the race, lose weight the healthy way along with exercise and counting calories rather than starving yourself with this method of dieting.

    Yes ; I do *not* see much mention of IDOLS using like PROTEIN SHAKE DRINKS that are pretty common in the USA. It *seems* like 'mixing in' something like that would be FAR better than what she is doing it. Who knows, maybe she is 'twisting the truth' a bit here too. Clearly, she was *aggressive* about limiting calorie intake, in any event.

    Imo yeah we all know this, but in the long run it's worth it because of the short career period. People ask why are idols losing weight the retarded way, and not get a nutritionist, and count macros. Because they don't want to lose 50lbs over a year the healthy way. They want to lose 50lbs in a month because of how short the idol career span is. I can bet anything if you were in a position like Suzy,Seolhyun,Chaeyeon,etc that lucky once in a lifetime most famous idol position and your agency is telling you, you NEED to lose weight to do anything you will 100% do it. You're not gonna do it the healthy way. Destroy your metabolism,become anorexic,and destroy your health for a year. After you're sucked dry of your star position use that time to recover.

    Definitely, K-pop is a COMPETITIVE and VISUAL DRIVEN business. IF you can sing like AILEE, *then* maybe you can 'get by' with being a bit LESS of a VISUAL presence. Otherwise, you better be pretty much 'MAXING OUT' whaever VISUAL that you can supply it. Via Cosmetic Surgery too ; if it makes some sense. Personally, I do NOT blame the IDOLS for doing a couple 'facial tweaks' if it HELPS with their appearance and *confidence* too. JESSI seems rather PLEASED with her Breast Augmentation. Which, I am FINE with Cosmetic Surgery done well ... (Joking / Trolling a bit) So, maybe JESSI and some other 'Breast Augmentation' K-pop Idols could feature in a 'Reality Competition TV Show' ... titled ... (here it comes) ... (Drum Roll) ... "JUGS of GLORY!" ... ;-)

    Honestly, my GUESS would be that the S.KOREAN COSMETIC SURGERY ASSOCIATION (or whatever they call it) would be MORE THAN PLEASED to 'put up' some TV Advertising MONEY to sponsor "JUGS of GLORY" featuring JESSI ... ;-) ... I think JESSI looks *very* good on the 'Jug Front' now! JESSI *should* be pleased, as I see THEM! ... ;-)

    Hmm, I did notice that she'd gotten quite plump after P101. I found myself thinking - why do people think she's so pretty? So much extra weight just didn't look good on her, and apparently it wasn't healthy for her either. I'm not going to bash the method she used to loose the weight, I'm just glad that she's healthy and pretty again.

    Korea try to censor bad habits like SMOKING and Gambling and Watching Porn (19+) on TV, so that young will not be led astray (so they believe), but they have celebrities telling the young people of how they diet and induce young people to follow their unhealthy diet or extreme diet ways, and its also not a good practise to follow.

    Don't be tempted. You will lose fat but although muscle and strengh. You'll get very tired and feel sleepy all day long because you won't have enough energy. You will also get sick more often. If you want to lose weight, do more sport and eat clean. Not in small portion, just clean food with lot of fruit and vegetable.

    Another article praising the starvation methods of idols. I don't get how this can get published and how the company isn't doing anything to promote healthy eating habits. Honestly, I'm worried these idols won't make to their forties. These type of "diets" are extremely bad for the body and their body will eventually become less immune to viruses and illnesses. This way of losing weight can have some serious consequences in the long run.
