Reports on August 31 claimed that Mnet's popular dance competition show 'Hit The Stage' will be coming to an end.

Supposedly, the cast will be filming their final episode on September 11, set to air on September 28. 'Hit The Stage' has so far received positive feedback for playing a critical role in giving idols a different kind of spotlight through dance, as well as providing lesser known idols with hidden talents a chance to shine.

Mnet has since stepped up to confirm these reports, saying, "It was meant to be a 10-episode program from the beginning. The last episode will air on September 28. We are currently discussing the possibility of a season 2."

We're sad to see it go!

I can't handed all this! First it was Roommate, A Look at Myself, and now Hit the Stage! 😣😭😭 Why all these really good variety shows come to a quick end

I think Roommate went downhill partly because not all the cast are ever at home, you see them spending more hours outside than they do at home, and it becomes more of a program where the less popular or less busy cast, like Jo Se Ho, on the camera all day, while those actors and singers cast are out all day. and later they even change the format a bit to invite guests over, and it becomes more like similar to IY2's concept of a Guesthouse, where popular idols or celeb come and pay a visit.

i think the "baby themed shows" are slowing down, a few stations have ended their "baby shows" like Oh My Baby and others, with some still doing it, like return of superman. but the interest in them as compared to 2013/4 times is not as high i think. I think jtbc also has quite a lot of good shows which I wished they had season 2 for. like the Idol Vocal show, Girls Spirit is one, though i wish the judge and MC panel can change a bit.

Hello Baby was an idol show though - so following that it should have decent views depending on which group

I hope season 2 will be better! I'm definitely sad we didn't get to see all these idols more, but many of these are so underrated, and they ALL proved themselves to be amazing dancers. However, I hope Mnet learns from this season and works out the kinks in the hopeful season 2, such as judging, or a longer season.

Take away the audience vote and let real professionals with no vested interest judge them.  They'll at least be able to look past the flash of the performance and look at the skills and their ability to deliver something unique.

season 2? if you are going to do that, at leats bring some dance teachers or professional dancers as judges because the show is too biased, it's just about fangirls voting for their faves ner  if they do it well or not, so unfair.

To be honest this season was really messy. I hope they improve the show next time.

Well, that was really fast. It came and left in  a blink of an eye. I hope there's a season 2!
