Clazziquai's Horan will be halting all forms of promotions due to a recent DUI investigation.

The singer's label Fluxus Music officially announced, "On September 26 at 6 AM (KST), Horan, who was on the Seongsu Bridge to head to her live radio show, was investigated by the police for a DUI case. Horan believes an excuse or explanation is unacceptable for this case and is deeply reflecting on her actions. From now on, Horan will take a break from broadcasts and spend some time reflecting."

you dun have to be intoxicated to be past the legal limit. some people can walk in a straight line, but still fail the breath analyser test. i think some think that its just a short drive home, and they wont get into trouble

I dunno the limit in Korea, but according the limit in SG, you will likely cross the limit of you exceed 3 glass of beer, or 1 glass of wine. However that also depends on the body weight of the drinker, 3 mugs of beer to a 50kg women, Vs a 80kg man, can be a big difference when taking blood alcohol. test. Some Big sized individuals can take on more and yet not exceed the legal limit, but to be on the safe side, its best not to drive after ANY consumption of alcohol. (Though i think one mug of beer during meal, shouldnt be that bad, its only 3% alcohol, unlike wine 14% or so.

considering their Suju can be as cheap as 1000 won per bottle (USD 1), its cheap and easy to obtain it. since although they prohib minors from drinking it, it is sold at so many places that its hard to check if a minor buys and drinks it even. a lot of Koreans started drinking and getting addicted to soju from before adulthood.

S.KOREA is NOT #1 (Top of World List) for PER PERSON ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION. S.KOREA is even with FRANCE. And 25% *ahead* (worse) than JAPAN and the USA.

http:// www. telegraph. co. uk/travel/maps-and-graphics/Countries-according-to-alcohol-consumption/ ... <-- S.KOREA is the 'little black dot' on the MAP (URL) between PRChina and JAPAN ... S.KOREA = 12.3 LITRES per person of ALCOHOL per year.

Actually, S.KOREA is NOT in the 'Worst 25 Nations' for Alcohol Consumption. However, in RUSSIA, the 'average' person drinks (gasp) 1500 'shot glasses' of VODKA per year! Which, some do NOT drink at all. So, *others* in RUSSIA are *way above* 1500 'shot glasses' per year. See URL that I referenced it above.

It *may* be that S.KOREA is 'TOP of LIST" (Number 1) for *ASIA* based ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION per person. BUT, it is NOT that on a GLOBAL world wide nation basis. See the URL that I posted it above. It *would* appear that way, based on S.KOREA being the 'little black dot' (so HIGH ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION) in ASIA.

As comment, the S.KOREANS need to *improve* in terms of their 'DRINKING ALCOHOL and DRIVING AUTOMOBILES' situation. That I can figure it out, the S.K GOVERNMENT needs to do a LOT more to 'educate' its citizens that alcohol 'drinking and driving' is a BAD idea. I am NOT clear that S.KOREANS even wear SEAT BELTS when driving automobiles very much. Also, just the general driving habits of S.KOREANS are NOT so good. You couple that with the ALCOHOL drinking, and you have a REAL problem. Which is why, for myself, I do *not* get too 'caught up' in 'buying' the 'Conservative Nation' S.KOREA propaganda.

the thing is on TV, they make it look as if everything is nice and everyone follows the rules, FOR Example, on TV, idols who are under 20, cannot film a alchohol CF or even enter a Club, even if its for a preformance and NOT to drink. and they show idols putting on SEATS BELT even in the rear seat of the car when its on TV, but however as what happen to Ladies Code accident, the rear passengers did not have seat belts on, or they might have survived the crash. and also they censor out smoking on TV even when many celebrities smoke and they made it look like everyone on TV are ROLE models, No Smoking, No Cuss words, respectful tones to elders, but the Bullying in school and dangerous driving on the roads are the reality in Korea.

Yes, it is like S.KOREAN TV LAND is this 'ZONE OF PURITY' that somehow 'reassures' S.KOREANS as to how 'conservative' that they are. The REALITY is more a S.KOREA of SMOKING tobacco ; DRINKING SOJU alcohol, and a *thriving* PROSTITUTION 'sex trade.' And yes, with LADIES CODE Group, to me, it is the FAILURE of the CEO of POLARIS AGENCY to *mandate* that LADIES CODE would wear seat belts, is WHY that those 'LC' members are dead.
