2PM's Chansung is questioning KBS' ban on his self-composed song "Make Love".

On September 21, KBS announced that Chansung's song has been deemed inappropriate for broadcast due to its lyrics about a woman and man making love. Later on the same day, Chansung guested on 'Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon' and responded to the ban.

I hate to say it, but K-pop has a long way to go before it can do things like this. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fairly PG song in my opinion, but he's also a K-pop artist in an UBER conservative country. I don't begrudge Korea for that, they have a beautiful culture over there, but half the things that artists can say and do in several other countries (and no I don't just mean the U.S., but also European countries, South American countries, etc.) would never get past the censors in Korea. K-pop groups are slowly but surely pushing the envelope and breaking ground on what can and can't be deemed appropriate on television, but it doesn't shock me at all that they would never give the green light to a song like this. Too bad, but hopefully people will still buy the song and stream it online.

a thing were over looking as foreign fans is that alot of kpop fans are teen girls (boys) that go through stress cuz of school and listen to tons of music to escape with that in mind (music influences our attitudes good and bad even more so if its alot of time listening) so a lot of mainstream/famous/easy to see needs to be pg.....

It's not about kids listening to it, there are plenty of young adults that listen to K-pop as well. It has everything to do with the conservative mindset and control in Korea- why do you think that although girls will wear the shortest shorts on these programs, whenever they sit down they're always given a pillow or a blanket to cover up? It's just how things are over there, it's a super conservative country, so it's not just about young kids listening to K-pop, it's literally ingrained in their culture.

kids are easily influenced same with teens if seeing something constantly(teens go to their music for escape) so its really easy to be influenced the girls need to cover because when you sit in a dress the dress rises to the point where you can see their underwear . is it wrong to want 1 tv channel that is for family? if you feel uncomfortable watching or listening to something with another person then its not for family if adults want to watch other stuff there sbs mnet mbc etc kbs is a family channel so the basic no sex no drugs no revealing or strong dances or dresses imagine if all tv stations only played nicki manaj videos, it would be horrible same here if all stations allowed sex etc on tv what would young ppl be able to watch without changing the channel every 5 min?
