According to Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation's female rappers' brand value index from July 20 to August 21, Jessi came out on top, even surpassing Yoon Mi Rae!

Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation created the brand index by analyzing consumer behavior through several categories such as participation value, media value, communication value, and more.

For Jessi, who took first place for the past month's brand index analysis, her participation value equaled 758,900, media value 232,076, communication value 41,679, and community value 142,461 for a total brand value of 1,175,116.

Yoon Mi Rae placed close behind at second place, with a total brand value of 950,680.

The director of Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation explained, "With more and more female rappers getting media exposure, people's consumption of female rappers' brands naturally increased. However, when looking at the breakdown of positive versus negative brand ratios, the negative values are much higher. Among the female rappers, Yoon Mi Rae and Tymee have the highest ratio of positive brand value."

I feel like Jessi or Yoon Mi Rae should host unpretty rapstar. Seeing as they know the struggle of being a woman in the rap game.

Yoon Mi Rae hates Unpretty Rapstar, because she hates that Rapper have to diss each other and put each other down.

As it is for most things it is harder for women to get ahead. A female host would be a better guide because she understands what it is like trying to be successful in a male dominated music genre. It is a lot harder for a woman to get respect when it comes to rap.

"...It is a lot harder for a woman to get respect when it comes to rap." Disagree, skill is undeniable so gender doesn't play a factor. Good bars are good bars, hence why nicki minaj is one of the top selling rappers.

Of course. If any, I'm surprised that Yoon Mi Rae is still up there considering how she's not so active mainstream-wise anymore.

this article doesn't explain what those numbers are, not even what it means when they're positive or negative... this article contains a lot of words without actually saying anything other than "Jessi and Tymee are doing well, and YMR is still up there."

I'm surprised MiRae is still up there since she hasn't really been active as a rapper/singer for a while.

i'm not really surprised that Jessi is higher than Yoon Mi rae, i'm more surprised Mi rae is that high :). Doesnt this basically calculate who's good to use to sell a brand. Yoon mi rae is hardly active outside singing and mostly does charity stuffs, so her participation value is probs low.

The article is confusing but I think Yoon Mi Rae is still the top in terms of positive to negative ratio. Jessi has more negative value which I don't think helps to sell a brand.

Yoon MiRae hasn't really been active lately but tbh she'll always be a legend. It's Jessi's spotlight now she deserves it tbh she did work for it and was patient for so long. I hope the best for both of them and maybe a comeback ? I miss them.
