NBC's new reality TV series 'Better Late Than Never' which is based on tvN's popular 'Grandpas Over Flowers,' is off to a promising start!

SEE ALSO: American version of 'Grandpas Over Flowers', titled 'Better Late than Never', to air on NBC

CJ E&M, the company behind the original series, announced on August 25, "The first episode of 'Better Late Than Never' recorded first place in viewership ratings among the four major broadcast networks including NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS."

According to Chosun.com, around 7.35 million viewers tuned in to watch the first episode of 'Better Late Than Never,' which showed cast members William Shatner, Henry Winkler, George Foreman, Terry Bradshaw, and Jeff Dye visiting the streets of Tokyo, Japan.

'Grandpas Over Flowers' is the first ever Korean reality program to be adapted by a major broadcast network in North America, so it's all the more pleasant to hear that it is doing well!

Girls' Generation filmed for 'Better Late Than Never' last year, so you may see them in an episode in the near future!

OK, I just went to NBCdotCOM to watch the first episode based on this article, and I can say that it was..... HILARIOUS! It stars Henry Winkler (The FONZ from Happy Days), William Shatner (Captain Kirk from Star Trek), Terry Bradshaw (American Football Legend Quarterback), George Foremen (Former Heavyweight Boxing Champion) and newcomer Jeff Dye. 1 month of travel adventure, 4 countries, 6 cities. Their first travel stop, Tokyo Japan. Crossing the street at Shibuya Crossing, trying to negotiate the Tokyo train stations, and their first night sleeping arrangement in a "Capsule Hotel", left me laughing so much I almost fell off my seat. I will definitely be scheduling NBC for 10pm on Tuesdays :-)
