MAMAMOO's Solar impressed Eric Nam with her banking knowledge on the July 23 installment of 'We Got Married'.

Eric Nam and Solar decided to get their finances in order as newlyweds and visited a bank. The two also decided to create a joint bank account, and when the bank employee asked who would be in charge of the account, Eric Nam decided to take charge as the head of the household.

However, he forgot to bring his ID card, so the account was made under Solar's name. When Eric Nam saw how easily Solar dealt with the bank forms, he was both impressed and relieved. As someone who wasn't used to doing banking, he expressed how glad he was to be able to lean on Solar.

Eric Nam said during his solo interview, "Whenever I fill in forms, I'm not sure what's what. I was so happy when my wife did it for me because I had no stress about it."

On the same episode, Solar and Eric Nam created their own two-person bar in their backyard.

"Whenever I fill in forms, I'm not sure what's what. I was so happy when my wife did it for me because I had no stress about it." You expect me to believe you don't know how to fill out a form to open an account? Ypu expect me to believe that you knew you were going to the bank but forgot your ID home. Seeing him "play dumb" for this show is one of the reasons I stopped watching it. Also, whoever told him to play dumb for this show is a genius because people will fall for the act, love him and he'll get more popular.

actually, if you watched the episode, you should know that eric and solar didn't originally planned on opening a joint account. they just went there to pay their utility bills. while waiting for the bills to get settled, eric JUST thought of opening a joint account right on the spot. it just so happens that he didn't bring his id card with him, and solar did, so the account went under her name. so what i'm basically saying is they went there without planning on opening an account. furthermore, if you watched eric's episode on i live alone, you'll know why it's so hard for him in dealing with these things (paying bills). he admitted on ILA that it's hard for him in settling his utility bills because everything is so technical when it comes to these things, and he's not that good in korean yet, especially with that aspect in mind. so there you go. he's not faking anything. in fact, in a recent interview, he actually said that he doesn't watch his wgm episodes because he worries that once he does, he'll become unnatural and end up being conscious of his actions. with that statement alone, you know he's not faking on the show. :)

I'm not married, so I don't know for sure, but I have noticed that amoung almost ALL of my friends who are married, they tell me that the wife is the one that handles the family money matters. Paying the bills, and doing the things like the income tax forms and filing. I thought at first it was a coincidence, but I have heard this many many many times from almost all of my married friends. There must be a reason. :-)

Also, I noticed in the other clip, that Solar initially thought that she had put up the lights backwards, due to the plug connection being on the wrong end, and it was Eric who understood that connecting the second set of lights to the first, would allow the plug connection to reach the wall socket. So, the lesson is, that neither person has to be an expert at everything, That is what marriage is, each person contributing whatever their expertise is to make the team successful. :-)
