Competitive reality programs have gotten a lot of hate in the past for the 'malicious editing' in which they make things seem more intense and dramatic than they actually were. They often twist the meanings behind words and the like, but during the press conference for JTBC's 'Girl Spirit,' Producer Ma Gun Young promised that this will not happen.
The show centers on the competition of twelve vocalists of girl groups who unfortunately haven't been able to take the spotlight with their talents as of yet. The producer promised, "We are trying to basically show the performances of the participants to the best of our abilities without editing. Because of that, there will be no issues regarding the amount of appearances and malicious editing." Well, that's good news!
The show starts on July 19!
