The singer recalled the hardships he endured due to his elementary Korean speaking ability. He said, "I had a hard time because my Korean speaking skill was poor. I've said byungshin (Korean term which translates roughly to 'retard') instead of byeonshin (meaning 'change') but thankfully, it was just a recording. When I saw the term shibaljeom (meaning 'starting point' and includes expletive 'shibal'), I thought the writer purposely inserted that word."

Eric Nam added that because he believed his Korean speaking skill was so bad, he had even begged his label to "exempt him from televised broadcasts.

Well, his Korean is awesome now, so Eric Nam's got nothing to worry about!

It's so easy to be judged for one small mistake even if it was unintentional...I don't blame him at all for being anxious. But I'm glad he worked hard to overcome since he so amazing on TV nowadays!

He always seems like such a nice person. I don't blame him for being nervous though.
