Singer/song writer Yoo Seung Woo posed in casual denims for 'Singles' magazine!

In a part of his interview, Yoo Seung Woo was asked, "What would it have been like if Yoo Seung Woo were a member of an idol group?"

He replied, "I don't think I would've been able to handle the weight of being an idol. When I see how they persevere in not just dance, but hectic schedules, and take care of their skin, bodies, etc, I'm amazed. Overseas, people regard Justin Bieber or One Direction as artists. But in Korea, we talk as if there's a separate 'idol genre'. It saddens me to see friends who are looked down upon or don't receive the feedback they deserve for being idols."

Do you agree with him?

1d and jb might be teen idols and stuff but aside from their fanbase and image there isn't much that separates them from other music artists, meanwhile kpop has its own system for creating idol groups with the training, putting together, assigning positions, etc. so i think that's why they're seen as separate from "regular artists," as well as the fact that their jobs transcend just music. people that fall into this category are called idols, and in america there isn't an actual job of being an idol or this kind of system/industry so all recording artists are referred to as artists. the difference is pretty simple.

lol if you're calling 1d shit for not being artists why are you even a kpop fan? kpop groups are even more manufactured than them and their music is all pretty much the same genre so i can't see any valid reason for you to hate on them.

Lol hun next time don't comment if you don't seem to understand. Yooseung was talking about not being an idol and mention artist like him but he didn't realize that 1d are idols just like any other kpop b/c they don't right their music.

lol actually it's pretty clear he didn't say they're like him but he was instead likening them to idols in korea but is noting that they're considered artists because there's no separate idol concept in america or most other places. and the point of my comment was that you're a fan of idols but you're completely dissing the closest things to idols in america for being... idols. by the way you're saying 1d are idols just because they don't write their songs but that's not what defines an idol at all even if it's a common thing, and it's pretty ridiculous that you say that because there are a lot of other popular recording artists and respected singers that don't write their songs in korea, america, and all over the world and that doesn't make them the same as kpop idols.
