Previously, a controversy arose regarding AOA's Seolhyun hiding her dark complexion with pale makeup that sometimes resulted in a sharp contrast between her body and face.

On the May 26 edition of KBS 2TV's 'Happy Together 3,' she talked about the humiliation of the two-toned catastrophe at an award ceremony when her face was a different color from the rest of her body.

She admitted, "My complex is my dark skin.  While trying to hide that, it ended up being like that.  Even before I went to 'Laws of the Jungle,' I really worried a lot about it.  There was a time I revealed [my dark skin] once and it was not good, and while that [incident] was going away, I had to [reveal my dark skin] yet again, so.." revealing her thoughts on having to reveal her bare face.

Dark or pale, she looks gorgeous, right?  Neither is more beautiful than the other, so don't worry!

I just want a healthy skin no matter in what color. How many people in this world have serious skin problem and need to receive treatment lifelong. People should realized healthy skin is way more important.

why do east asians have such complexes with having a dark skin? in the western world, the pale ones always want to get tanned, dark skin. Yet people who have this complexion already want to be paler :S

the way i've always thought of it is that traditionally in asia, the working class has to work in the fields so they get tan. if you're pale, it means you have enough money to not have to work outside. while in the western world, people like to get tans because it means they have the money to go on vacations to the beach or whatever. and the tanning or whitening is just a remnant of those times.

it's because europeans are set to be the standard of beauty and europeans have lighter skin tones. also, the reason for wanting double eyelids, larger eyes, and a higher bridge nose is the same.

she should not see it as a complex. Hyorin is way tanner but she didn't give two fucks about it.. She should just flaunt it to those insecure fuckers.

This is soooo sad. Being dark should not be considered a complexity. I myself am dark and I didn't think it was bad but because of how people treat dark people I became very conscious about it.....
