Everybody knows idols make more money overseas than in Korea.

well some idols make alot of money with royalties in Korea

Compare that to the royalties they get in Japan or China, lets just say they are not at all comparable. The price for one song streamed in Itunes itself is more than double the amount for one song streamed in Korea.

In Japan they make more than enough. A lot of idols came back from Japan suddenly looking like millionaires. The concert tours is one of the promotions needed in Japan's industry and tours are the best profit gain event you can have.

If that is the case, i do feel sorry for japanese idols such as those in Jhonnys entertainment (except SMAP) as they do not recieve much.

Its because of the contract. Japanese companies who signs Korean idols can't make a ridiculous deals since the idols are also signed in their respected agencies. Japanese idols are a lone entity when they signed so they don't have anything to negotiate. But outside of idols the artists like rock bands, jazz singers makes a lot touring the cities. Their contract is only performance, album and royalties, which is the contract Korean idols signed for.

i understand what you mean. Japanes idols earn as much in japan as how much a korean idol would in korea.

Only idols, not Japanese artists. A Korean ballad singer earns more in Japan as much as a Japanese Ballad singer would. The price of song streams in Japan is almost 2 times the price of song streams in Korea. Like in Itunes if you pay $1 for a song, Korea only pays like 35 cents. That is why TVXQ and 2PM hits a lot of jackpot when they succeed in Japan.

This topic was about idols not artists, so you dont need to mention them. i understand what you mean about kpop in japan DBSK have mentioned it in the past, when they finally had broke into the jpop market.

We were eventually talking about the general market and what I mean was, the KPOP idols are contracted just like the artists i Japan not like the idols in Japan.

I basically differentiate Japanese Idols to Korean Idols by putting Kpop idols contract in the same group as the Japanese artist in Japan. You get it but you said we weren't on the same page so I'm just now confused to what do you get really.

When i saide "This topic was about idols not artists" you replied with "We were eventually talking about the general market" and therfore refering to this sentence i replied with "maybe you were but not me" as i was only talking about IDOLS .

Even my first statement talks about the market itself and since I started it, I know its there. I was also pointing out on K IDOLS contract being similar to Japanese Artists contract than Japanese Idols. You brought up J IDOLS and I reference that J IDOLS have different contracts than J Artists. K IDOLS are in the same similar contract as J Artists. Its nothing out of the topic in any way.

The "money overseas" implies market for the idols and honestly now that I think of it, you only get what you wanted to understand so I can't really push anything else.

Honey, you said you understood but disregarded a point I made on the topic itself. So i have no idea what you understood really. I read every comment again and everything is connected to my initial statement and your initial response. So yeah, sorry if you left me very confused.
