The producers of 'Channel AOA' have come forward to apologize for the recent history quiz controversy.

AOA's Jimin and Seolhyun have already made apologies, and producers of the OnStyle show have now revealed their own regrets about the situation. On May 13, reps took responsibility for the controversy, stating, "We're apologizing to the viewers for episode 4 of 'Channel AOA'. This was obviously the producers' mistake, and we're sorry for causing so many people worry."

They added, "We have apologetic hearts as it seems AOA have also been hurt. We promise to produce with more careful consideration in the future." Producers further explained Seolhyun and Jimin had to complete the quiz under a time constraint and that staff should have been more careful as the quizzes touched on important historical figures.

The episode in question was also made unavailable on the show's official streaming site.

Maturely speaking once again, I know that nobody needs to apologize for all of this at all because of course Seolhyun and Jimin really didn't do anything wrong at all AND the producers and staff of the show really did not do anything wrong either.  I don't know why some of these people sometimes find stuff like this to get all of their underwear right all the way up in a bunch over for no reason at all.  Can't all of those K-netizens go a single day without trying to create a scandal for once?

I noticed somebody comparing it to an American Senator not knowing about Martin Luther King jr. I guess that says a lot about the importance of not knowing this stuff. It would be the same for Europeans not to know who Hitler was. If that's the case, yes, you should be apologetic, especially if it was aired on National TV. That being said, producers could've edited this out I guess.

Well, regardless of what you've said, there's STILL no need to apologize for it at all UNLESS someone has done or said something actually racist or sexist.

It's all good for Seolhyun, she's got a mountain of CF's to fall back on. =)

I'm surprised this came out to be such a big deal. Being an idiot idol is a pretty common schtick that some of them either choose to or get told by their agencies to play.

(Joking) As long as AOA members can *prove* that they know who DOUGLAS MACARTHUR (USA Military) is; then they should be allowed to remain in S.KOREA. Otherwise, they should be DEPORTED to the USA; and share an apartment with AMY !!! ... ;-)
