'Boys 24', the male idol version of 'Produce 101', will start airing on June 18th!

The show features 49 boys chosen out of a pool of applicants, winning over the rest with a 220:1 chance. Each week, the boys will form a unit to compete against one another. The final 24 will become a 'Boys 24' member and have the right to perform any time at their own theater. Afterward, the boys will be chosen again for a final debut idol group.

Unlike 'Produce 101', the competition will not be individual-based but team-based. Not only so, the MVP unit with the best results will receive over 200 million KRW (170,000 USD) for support on their music producing, promotions, and training.

There will be a total of 8 episodes. Check out the trailers below!

(smh) another meat grinder. I refuse to watch these. When a group comes out I'll take a look at them, but I'm not going to watch them go through all this and get a fav just for that one to not be on. I prefer when the groups just debuted and had to sink or swim on their own merits instead of some prepackaged pre-arranged pseudo "fandom" supporting their effort.

I wonder if any Big3 trainees will participate or if they'll put a lot less weight on the company the trainee came from.

i dont think so, bcoz these 3 companies know how to promote their trainees well so they dont really need the exposure, i know for a fact YG wudnt need the survival show coz for sure he's gonna make his own

True but like how Somi from JYP definitely brought more attention to Produce 101 and became the number 1 trainee by far, I feel like the show would do everything in their power to get at least one trainee from the big 3 again.
