In a recent interview with ChosunBiz, AOMG head Jay Park mentioned his former boss J.Y. Park, and 2PM, both of whom he has an estranged relationship with. 

The interviewer had remarked, "I heard that you aren't allowed on TV because of your discord with J.Y. Park." Jay Park answered, "I'm not too sure [about it] either. But I didn't stop just because I can't go on TV. There were many times I couldn't go on TV, but I didn't let that get the better of me and just kept on moving. Things actually worked out better in other areas."

Jay Park also touched upon one of his past songs, which seems to be direct jab at J.Y. Park. The rapper explained, "Lyrics are what's on your mind at the time you write them. People can interpret them in different ways. People want to pit me against my former boss. But I have a lot of people to account for. I'm just busy doing my work."

When asked what he thinks of J.Y. Park, the AOMG leader replied, "You can't put the two of us together. It's like comparing a basketball player to a baseball player. It doesn't make any sense. I had a really tough time from 2005 to 2009. But if not for that period [of hardship], I wouldn't have grown as strong as I am now." 

On his highly publicized and controversial leave from JYP and 2PM, Jay Park commented, "I let everything go and just got ready to live my life but I think the media turned the whole situation into kind of a 'drama.' I really would have been okay even if I didn't go back into the spotlight. I was able to live peacefully working at body shops and participating in b-boy competitions." 

The interviewer also asked the rapper whether he still keeps in touch with the 2PM members, to which Jay Park answered, "No. Because our paths are plainly different. I heard they're doing well in Japan. I never wish for others to do badly. I'm cheering on TWICE too. Tzuyu fighting!"
