Netizens protest the rudeness toward BTOB on SBS's 'Gayo Daejeon'

SBS's 'Gayo Daejun' is a great chance for all the popular K-Pop artists to showcase their best talents and for their fans all over the world to see them perform on the grand stage. But the 'Gayo Daejun' festival this year was full of technical difficulties such as camera and audio issues and even word slips from one of the MCs, Shin Dong Yup.�

However, the technical issues weren't even the worst of the problems that arose from this year's 'Gayo Daejun.' During BTOB's performance, someone who is thought to be an SBS staff member uttered a remark that had offended BTOB fans.�

A netizen uploaded a post venting his/her anger at what the staff member had said and also noted that that more than half of BTOB's performance was edited out.�

The netizen wrote, "I'm angry about more than half of BTOB's stage being cut, but what I'm angrier about is the attitude of the SBS staff...As soon as [BTOB's] stage began, some man said ignorantly, 'Why are they doing a musical again?' which makes me feel really offended. Even if you are not a Melody, doesn't it make you angry? What's worse is that the words were heard by the members through their earpieces. It's the first time that I teared up as part of a fandom and felt annoyed and frustrated, so I wrote this. I can't sleep and my hands are shaking kekekekeke. I'd be grateful if you shared this post."�

The netizen then shared a screen capture of the alleged apology from SBS regarding what the staff said, which reads, "First of all, we are sorry that we didn't look into [the issue] sooner. The mic glitch is just a misunderstanding. At the time, the only mics present were the ones handed to the artists and the ones installed in the audience seats. No mics were handed to the staff members. The production crew will look into the exact cause [of the glitch], but in the meantime, it was determined that that was not the voice of our staff member."�

On the explanation from SBS, the netizen commented, "So what they are saying now is that kekekekekeke they took it as a joke; 'It's something that happened at our company's "Gayo Daejeon," but we have nothing to do with it^^,' is that what they're saying?"
