10 New Artists of 2015 That We're Thankful For

Seventeen, N.Flying, iKON, CLC, , April, MONSTA X, Oh My Girl, TWICE, DAY6
1. MONSTA X

The year 2015 was a great year for K-Pop with numerous talented artists making impressive debuts. Even though Thanksgiving is over, we can't help but be thankful for the great music that these amazing rookie groups have produced. Check out the list of our favorite, new rookie artists, who have debuted this year.

MONSTA X is a new rookie group that has undoubtedly caught our eye. Showcasing their explosive dance moves with their latest track, "HERO" ï¿½ they were nominated for Best New Male Artist and won the 1theK Performance Award during the 2015 MelON Music Awards.

2. DAY6

JYP Entertainment had originally planned the group to debut as a 5 member group under the name 5LIVE, but added a 6th member to the group  eventually debuting under the name DAY6 the group we know today. Their amazing vocals combined with great instrumentals in their track, "Congratulations," made their debut an instant success. We hope to see more of this these boys come 2016.

3. TWICE

Another rookie group formed by JYP Entertainment  the rookie group TWICE, has made a phenomenon with their debut track, "Ooh Ahh." The song is described as a 'color pop' dance track with elements of hip-hop, rock, and R&B. They were definitely successful in hitting each of these elements with their debut title, and we want more. We hope this marks a new era for 'color pop.'

4. Seventeen

Seventeen is a rookie group formed by Pledis Entertainment. These boys definitely showcase their amazing talent in their latest track, "Mansae." Although the group came from a relatively small company, they have definitely proved themselves earning their first nomination ever at the Mnet Asian Music Awards for Best New Artist.

5. CLC

A five member group formed by Cube Entertainment, CLC is a new rookie group that made their debut this year. Their latest comeback track, "Like," showcases their cute, playful side and were even nominated at the MelON Music Awards for Best New Female Artist.

6. N.Flying

N.Flying is a 'Rap-Rock' band formed by FNC Entertainment. Their latest track, "Lonely," showcases just that, where they combine great vocals, rap, and instrumentals. We hope these boys will gain more recognition for their work they definitely deserve it.

7. G-Friend

Many of us may know the lovely ladies of G-Friend from their viral fancam of them falling numerous times because of a slippery stage. Although the fancam may have helped them gain recognition, their track "Me Gustas Tu" was a hit in itself. With this track they were able to successfully bring back the 'older K-Pop feel' and we love it.

8. April

April is a girl-group formed by DSP Media and is composed of five members. Although they were originally a six member group, the departure of member Somin has not slowed them down one bit. Check out their latest track. "Muah."

9. Oh My Girl

The sister group of B1A4, Oh My Girl is a 8 member group formed by WM Entertainment. Their latest track "Closer," is praised by fans for its awesome concept and we can't agree more.

10. iKON

Formed by YG Entertainment, iKON is one of our favorite rookie groups on this list. Consisting of seven members, these boys took home the Best New Artist Award from the MelON Music Awards and have been releasing non-stop hit tracks since their debut. Their track "Apology," may be one of their best releases yet.
